It's finally come full circle. Now barry wished barry hadn't been elected.

Perhaps a larger problem than the dollar figure was that the stimulus was never structured to be spent nearly as quickly as the fast-worsening unemployment rate required. As Alter points out, "The president-elect's lack of experience in the bowels of the federal bureaucracy didn't help." Even Obama himself later admitted that "one of the biggest lies in government is the idea of 'shovel-ready' projects."

No doubt a dog pile of haters could react to the linked commentary...but hey, it is getting close to election time. Perhaps we can turn this nation by removing the "Masters" from office and thus bringing Freedom Back to Americans.

President Obama has finally admitted that a core premise of his nearly trillion-dollar stimulus package was false. In an interview this week with The New York Times' Peter Baker, the president acknowledged that "there's no such thing as shovel-ready projects," despite the president's near-constant invocation of the term over a two-year period to explain how government spending was going to create jobs.
