C'mon, Murphy3, you're always saying Dale's good part,
but I'm sure you know his weakest point, I have his full stats ... but I'm not gonna point out the Dale' weakness here, b/c you like him so much [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] ...

OK- you have stepped over the line?!lol...Griffey is "average" without homeruns???GOOD GOD. His lifetime batting average is still about .297. You wont find a better center fielder in the game (GOLD GLOVES?). Sure, he wouldnt be a SUPERSTAR, but he would still be better than AVERAGE...

yes, murphy had weaknesses.
he had a whole in his swing...had some difficulty going the opposite way later in his career and this (along with knee problems) led to the end of his career. murphy struck out too much. he did, however, have a respectable OBP for a cleanup hitter in the 80's. you have to remember that in the 80's, cleanup hitters typically were not the type of hitters (hitting for the type of average) that they are now. |

reeds, Someone even said Cal without that streak is average AT BEST on this board!!!
so why not ? His lifetime batting average is still about .297, that's no big deal, He's not hitting over .300 in recent years, getting worse I should say ... but I think he still can play D tho ... the youngest 450 homer hitter, great achievement !!!
