Lightbulb Rebuilding 101, 102 & 103

Okay, this is for all the hard core Mavs fans that want to see us rebuild yet keep Numero 41...

REBUILDING 101
New Jersey Trade Breakdown
Incoming Players
Brandon Bass
6-8 PF from Lousiana State
5.9 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 0.4 apg in 15.8 minutes

Josh Howard
6-5 SG / SF from Wake Forrest
17.7 ppg, 7.8 rpg, 1.7 apg in 35.7 minutes

Outgoing Players
Brook Lopez
7-0 C from Stanford
4.4 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 0.4 apg in 18.0 minutes

Bobby Simmons
6-6 SF from DePaul
7.1 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 1.0 apg in 26.9 minutes

Congratulations on a successful trade.
Due to New Jersey and Dallas being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. New Jersey and Dallas had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

REBUILDING 102
Detroit Trade Breakdown
Incoming Players
Tayshaun Prince
6-9 SF from Kentucky
17.6 ppg, 8.8 rpg, 2.6 apg in 37.6 minutes

Outgoing Players
Erick Dampier
6-11 C from Mississippi State
6.6 ppg, 8.1 rpg, 0.8 apg in 22.9 minutes

Successful Trade Scenario
Congratulations on a successful trade.
Due to Dallas and Detroit being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Dallas and Detroit had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

REBUILDING 103
Portland Trade Breakdown
Outgoing Players
Channing Frye
6-11 C from Arizona
5.4 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 0.2 apg in 17.2 minutes

Steve Blake
6-3 PG from Maryland
10.5 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 3.8 apg in 29.8 minutes

Incoming Players
Jason Terry
6-2 PG from Arizona
16.6 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 4.0 apg in 34.3 minutes

and $$$CASH$$$$ Considerations

Congratulations on a successful trade.

New Look Mavs:

Frye/Diop/Lopez
Dirk/Singleton/Williams
Simmons/Prince/George
Green/Wright/Stack
Kidd/Blake/JJB

I'd rather keep J-Ho and find a way to make the New Jersey trade work using any out of Stack/Wright/Diop/JJB and one of Singleton/Williams. Then we could just not do the Detroit trade and keep Josh Howard. I don't think they will trade Tayshaun Prince for Dampier with Sheed still there, and them trying to get Sheed off their books to clear up cap room.

Otherwise I like acquiring Lopez and Blake and using Josh/Simmons at SF.

Dirk's at a point in his career where he deserves better than to be on a rebuilding team.

If it gets real bad and i feel it will, Dallas can go the way of Portland and Timberpuppies. Trade and dump alot of your high paid players and get younger players and draft picks in return and just rebuild. It will take a few years to make any noise. A playoff team will want Dirk and a playoff team would be good for Kidd. Kidd needs to go to a team of shooters and a player or players that run and dunk. I am not sure if Kidd and Nash would be happy splitting the game half and half on minutes but if they would, Kidd would be good on Phx. Nash doesn't have much time and neither does Kidd. Shaq sure doesn't. It would make Phx even older but maybe trying to get them to compete with the top three teams. Phx will make playoffs but i don't think they can win now in playoffs against top 3. He could also play in Golden State.

Dirk needs to go to a contender also. If i was Dirk, i would request it. He could go to many teams that would want him. Terry to a team that needs a shooter. It will be hard to move Stackhouse.

Right now, I would care less if we traded Dirk. We havent won anything with him. So what makes us think were gonna win anything without him. Dallas needs to move on, and get Dirk to a team that has a chance. and we need to rebuild. it was nice to have dirk, but lets face it. he is not going to win it here.

I don't see us doing 101, and I don't see the other teams even REMOTELY considering 102 and 103...
