Default Dal/LAC

Successful Trade Scenario
Congratulations on a successful trade.

Due to Dallas being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Dallas had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Dallas needs a SG and another athletic C.
Mobley and Camby also add that nastiness that the Mavs seem to be missing right now.

LAC needs and inside threat to replace Brand, and Bass could provide that offensively. Stack and Bass's contracts can go away after this year. Terry can provide that outside shooting that Mobley provided, as well as back up Baron.

Thoughts? Why it would or wouldn't work for each teams.......

Kidd, Barrea (someone off the street- Maybe even Marbury?)
Mobley, Wright
JHo, Green
Dirk, Camby, Williams
Camby, Damp, Diop

Mobley can play some minutes of backup PG.

Really don't think the Clips would do it because of the length of Jet's deal. If they really liked Bass, they might. I wouldn't be overly excited about Mobley at shooting guard, in fact I view Mobley as a downgrade from Jet, but I'd probably do it just for Camby and to get rid of Jet's contract.

Who's our 6th Man after this deal - Green? Wright?

I don't see why we would have 3 centers, I'd rather give up one of either Damp or Diop instead of Bass.

And then why would the Clips even think about doing the deal? You have to think about it from both sides.

3 centers = another trade around the corner!

Green.

So far he has been instant energy, and a definite scoring threat.

Kidd, Mobley, JHo, Dirk, Camby, Damp, Diop, Green, Wright -- 9 man rotation.
Williams might get some burn at the PF.

Defense would be key again, instead of offense, yet they could still run.

Against some teams Dirk could play the SF, and have Camby and Diop defending the rim.

Kidd, JHo, Dirk, Camby, Diop seems like it could be very nasty, against teams that didn't have a highly athletic SF.

JThig is correct on why you use Bass.

3 Centers is a good problem if one of them can play PF as well sometimes. Camby is a PF/C, and can displace Dirk at the PF while gaining defense while Dirk is out of the game. Camby is also not a slouch on offense (he should avg double figures).

Really you would have 2 PF who can play some Center in Camby and Dirk, and 2 Centers in Damp and Diop.
