Mavs backups play tonight.

Just doing my part for the community of fine MFFLs.

Hope this brings us some luck. But we really can't afford the FO to have any confidence headed toward TD. We need them desperate.

I will say Shannon Brown is playing a lot better lately. I'm fine keeping him around since he is cheap. He's no worse than Reggie Bullock.

This actually makes it much worse with THJ because it's all about effort with him. He finally decided to show up in the 4th, but it matters not when you and your team crapped 3 quarters.

They said on the postgame show that even if he had been there one pick later the Mavs were going to still pick Tyler Bey if he was there.

Thank god my friend had a sore arm, and I didn't guy tickets to this game.

But no merch is tough for me since I already have so much. Probably getting stuff for xmas, but at least I'm not paying for it I guess.

I wanted Bane from jump, I would have picked him at 18 and had him as an out of the box starter next to Luka.

Instead we have Green who still doesn't get to play. Kidd was asked why Eo, Green and MO don't get in and he said "There's not enough minutes in the game to get them in"

I dream of the alternate world where we drafted Tyrese Maxey / Saddiq Bey / Precious Achiuwa / Desmond Bane and demanded Matisse Thybulle from the 76ers for Seth.

The 2020 off-season was arguably the worst miss in Mavs history since Nash leaving. If I understand correctly it’s because Cuban’s stats guy and our actual fucking GM who had just hit on Brunson and Doncic were cat fighting.

I’m done giving Cuban a pass. He needs to sell.

According to Haralabob and confirmed by Mavs Moneyball sources, Donnie ran out of the 2020 draft room pissed and left the entire draft up to Bob. At any point the real GM, Cuban could have put his foot down and either fired Donnie on the spot or made him come back in the room. What a clown show.

Bob had too much power and is gone now. He was responsible for the Green pick because people still think deep analytics tell the whole story. Even though the stats backed up both Bane and Bey.

Again though, Donnie didn't sign Reggie Bullock so...

If I remember correctly, there was a lot of time left on the clock when Mavs picked, which gave me the impression they were taking the obvious choice of the guy who was a lotto pick in most mock drafts that slid to them...Bey.
I was completely shocked when they took Green. And Bey would have actually filled a need at the time...a 3/4 3-D wing.

I wonder who Donnie was planning to pick at the time.

Agree. In almost any permutation of acquisitions and/or draft choices that seemed to be obvious to many, would have made this team a lot better and deeper.

Doesn't even matter what we want anymore because we're never going to get there with an inept FO.

Like, people keep saying former GM, former coach, and yet we're still starting Dwight fucking Powell.

Nothing has changed. They are using KP properly, and Brunson is playing better. That's our change for the season.
