Bobcats re-up Voskuhl
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte Bobcats re-signed center Jake Voskuhl to a two-year deal on Tuesday.
The 6-foot-11, 225-pound, Voskuhl averaged 5.3 points and 3.6 rebounds for Charlotte last season as a backup for center Primoz Brezec.
"Bringing Jake back to our team provides experienced depth at the center position," Bobcats coach and general manager Bernie Bickerstaff said. "Jake has been a solid contributor for us on both ends of the court and is a true team player."
The 28-year-old Voskuhl, acquired last summer from Phoenix in exchange for a conditional second-round draft pick, missed 31 games last season with various injuries. He came on late in the season, scoring 18 points against Detroit in March.
A former second-round pick by Chicago in 2000, Voskuhl was a member of Connecticut's 1999 national championship team.
With Voskuhl's signing, the Bobcats have 14 players under contract for next season.
