Knicks’ Kurt Thomas Suspended One Game
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 11 – New York Knicks center Kurt Thomas has been suspended for one game without pay for headbutting Dallas Mavericks forward Josh Howard, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Senior Vice President Basketball Operations. The incident occurred with 6:07 remaining in the second quarter of the Knicks' 105-90 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Feb. 10 at American Airlines Center. Thomas will serve his suspension during tonight's game against the New Orleans Hornets at New Orleans Arena. Link

I think this was the right punishment for Thomas, but look how bad Karl Malone was able to clock Nash and still got the same punishment. The league sends a bad message with inconsistent punishments.
