Great work. You had disappeared for a couple of weeks, I assume to business. Good to know you kept up!
12/5 157.2 lbs
Constant yo-yoing this week between 156 and 157. I wonder if this is where my lifestyle has settled me at.

Ok..good for you guys.. good work. I'm about to start hitting the running pretty hard again. Well, I've decided to tone it down a bit from what I've done in the past simply because I haven't been able to stay healthy enough. I 100% know what I should be doing with running, but I have a tendency to want to push it a little harder than I should... Frequent Achilles Tendonitis and Plantar Fasciitis along with compartment syndrome in my calf... I've about had it. But, I figured I'd give it another try while monitoring my increases in speed and length a little better and lessening my sprint workouts considerably. Hopefully the issues will be manageable. Plus, I need to lose 20 pounds.

checked in at an all new monday morning low of 191.8. Haven't been riding much due to weather. A week or two of good weather over the holidays (so I can get out and ride) and I might get there soon.
Objectives aside...I'm really not doing anything out of the ordinary these days...by that I mean I'm not going to start doing something (or eating something) different once I hit 189.9. The weight is coming off slowly but surely....wouldn't be surprised to get down to 185ish...eventually.

12/19 154.4 lbs
I had my worst day of eating yesterday (burger & fries for lunch, pizza for dinner) in six months and lost .4 pounds.

Gotta start working out more intently, though. Sigh.

hovering around in the low 190's. Pigged out like a mofo over the holidays. Also received several bottles of scotch as xmas gifts....scotch is like the ultimate anti-weight-loss drink for me.
'scuses, scuses....
I'm contemplating drastic (ie, dietary) action....after I finish my last bottle of freebie scotch.

Checked in at 191.4 yesterday. I've mostly been hovering in the low 190's for a while. My goal was originally 190, but I'm still carrying more fat than I care to carry, so i'm going for 180.
I've gotten semi-serious about the whole diet thing. Not like the last time I said I was going to get serious about my diet, and not like the time before that....this time I really mean it.

The working out + eating healthier plan started on Monday for me.
My biggest problem is alcohol. I know if I dropped that, I could easily lose 5-10 pounds right off the bat. Those who were in the same boat, how did you deal with this?
Initial weight = 180 lbs
Target weight = 160-165 lbs
Wish me luck.

I find that I don't care too much about my weight when I'm drinking, so for the most part I've dealt with the problem by drinking more.

I was very light on my alcohol drinking...maybe once or twice a month. The big thing for me was soda, that was at least 1-2 a day. I just randomly stopped, cold turkey, right after the Finals. I haven't had one since.
Just flat out said no more, drink water or maybe fruit punch. I didn't really do anything special, just said you're done and I was done lol.

Fruit punch is worse than soda. Just drink diet, the aspartame doesn't have any real consequences if you're only drinking one or two a day.
I haven't had a regular soda since I started at the beginning of July. I've gotten so used to the taste of Coke Zero and Diet Dr Pepper that I don't need it anymore.
Can't help on the alcohol problem. I'd say, as a lifelong tee-total, to just not drink at all, anyway, but that's a perspective few people ever reach. I guess I'd just say it's fine so long as you cut out other calories to make room.

It's still like 85 percent water, 15 fruit punch.
It's a radical difference compared to watch it was before.
There aren't any urges to have soda anymore. I'm not really sure how it relates with alcohol.

I think this is the right track. Just a matter of trading one habit for another, hopefully better, habit.
I'm thinking of giving up scotch for a meth habit....hear that does wonders for weight loss.
(for now I've switched to a cup of decaf green tea now and then....kinda gay, I know, but that glass of scotch in the evening was my way of getting into a 'day is over, time to relax' mode.)

Between the lockout and yesterday, I've lost a total of 28 pounds.
Tons of cardio. During the lockout, I played 4 on 4 full court hoops (2 hours straight) about 2-3 times a week. It's mainly just cardio now.

179.... i now wear size small in shirts
on a sadder note, finally broke down and sold all my XL mavs championship shirts on ebay for about 60 bucks. I paid over 200 for them when they won.... oh well. You can't make an omelette without cracking a few eggs.

Oh god. So many shirts. So little fit. My DirkSwish shirt... no chance in hell.
Interesting that you wear a small. I wear a medium that, depending on the material, can either fit great or be a little unflattering (the cotton/poly blend shirts show off my still-existent manboobs).

Well, I still wear medium in some brands that fit a little smaller. Also my shoulders are too broad for some smalls. But still, that's down from XL... I'll take it.

still on 189.
I wear jeans to work 99.9% of the time, and for now my once uncomfortably snug jeans require a bit of belt-tightening. I'm now down to the second-to-last notch on my second belt.
I'm quite concerned about the status of my dress clothes, including my one and only nice suit. I know if I hit my ultimate goal of 180 that'll I will have some considerable dress clothes issues.

I moved apartments this weekend, and for some reason took my blazer with me. I can't imagine how much that thing would swallow me.
Now, there is just about zero occasion on which I would wear dress clothes anymore. I wear jeans and t-shirts to work, and own a bazillion plaid button-down shirts if a t-shirt isn't acceptable. Maybe I'll go to Goodwill, though, and pick up something just in case.
Oh, I was 154.0 this morning.

Alright, my sister's wedding is in December. I want to be in shape by then. I'm about 10 pounds from where I want to be. I'm at 161, want to be at 151. A pound a week is the goal. Here we go.
