Frankly Carlisle should play him regardless if his shot start to fall soon or not. With Roddy you know the ability is there, with Jones, you know it is not. At least as far as scoring, and shooting goes. I also think Roddy is a better defender, but i guess some wouldn't agree with that..

Carlisle is so predictable with the Roddy benching. Usually one mistake, he's gone, he misses an open shot, he's gone. It's ridiculous, why play him at all?

By the time Carlisle stated he needs to sleep a night over the PG rotation I was really scared DoJo would get the starting job. Nice to see Carlisle made the right decision with Collison/Roddy.

If Marion passes earlier, Carter has a wide open three 2-3 minutes ago and not sure if the pass from Collison to Jones was the best move (although open), i thought he should have gone up for the floater.
Close it out!

That's not the point, i know he does, we have the worst PG production in the NBA for a reason. My point is that we know Roddy can do more than he's doing. A lot more. The ability is there. It's not like Carlisle is risking something playing him more. With Jones, the ability is not there. He can't score, nor shoot at even respectable levels, so he's a complete liability offensively. He's also not a good athlete to create kick-out opportunities, something Roddy can do even when he's struggling with his shot, which is always these days, i know. Again, not the point i was trying to make.

Something was iffy here, no way that was a 24 seconds possession. Or at least it didn't feel like it.

Absolutely necessary win. I think a loss would have completely mentally crippled this team.

Good win! Mayo/Collison combining for 13 assists and only 1 turnover
Also those guys using pick and roll well with Dirk!

it takes time people.... like dirk said the goal for this team right now should just be playoffs. when is the last time you seen a team starta season with so much turmoil. dirk hurt, collison inconsistent play, marion hurt, signing fisher then losing fisher, kaman hurt, then dirk finally coming back. its been a rollercoaster. they have to get their rolls together and what is expected from everyone. i still believe this team has talent to make playoffs and be a scary matchup for anyone they play. have to wait and see how it plays out.

That's a lovely sentiment but from an X's and O's perspective, there's no indication that this team could be a scary match up in the POs. There are some glaring weaknesses that will not be filled when they "get their rolls together."

If a win can't get a PGT, no game will ever get one.

Hey guys, I attended the Mavs Wizards game on Tuesday and VC gave me his headband at the end of the game. I was sitting about 10 rows behind the Mavericks bench and I am looking for the full game to see if any of the camera angles showed me while VC gave me the headband. Its an experience that I will remember forever and it would be even better if it was on camera during the game.
I would greatly appreciate it if someone could upload the Mavs Wizards game and message me the download link (Fox Sports Southwest) I need the Mavs broadcast, not the Wizards broadcast. Thanks guys!
