That Damian Williams is one HELL of a WR. He is ONE of the FIVE D-1 players that Springdale, AR fielded this year on their team. Of those 5, 2 committed to Arkansas. Keep in mind that Springdale is 10 minutes from the stadium. The other 3 have committed to Florida (2) and ND (1). Now it's looking like Mitch Mustain (top 1 or 2 QB) will probably sign elsewhere too after initially verballing to the Hogs...possibly ND. Boy, that Houston Nutt sure can keep 'em in state.

That is one heck of a class. Of course, that is 26 recruits, so there is a small problem of exceeding the max number of scholarships available in a given year. I have a hard time believing most three stars would accept to be a walkon.

Nice class but if I remember correctly, didn't SC sign 8 or 9 five stars a couple of years ago?

Ooops...just checked. Larry Grant is a JUCO transfer. He counts against 2005's class, not 2006 as he'll be in school for the upcoming semester.

He's on his way out isn't he? That fact or even the perception probably makes it tough to recruit top talent.

Who knows...it's all about politics right now. If his job was based on performance, he'd have been fired after the 2003 season.
