Playoffs GDT: Round 1, Game 2, 4/30/2012, 8:30 pm Central
I got recurrent pulses in a dream last night to make GDT.
This will help the MAVS to keep on Track.
No shrinking and choking anymore.
In fact: All in all,
WIN IT ALL.

Everyone should keep a broad perspective. The Grizz lost in a painstaking manner last night and gave up homecourt, but I still think they are going to win that series. The Mavs got crushed in game 4 against Portland last year, and were up against the ropes after game 3 in the Finals. Go out there, get the win, and you come home with a split (which was the realistic goal at the start of the series regardless).

Step 1: gauge distance to opponent.
Step 2: say goodnight.

- Of the 423 best-of-seven series in NBA history, 107 have gone seven games while 59 have finished in as few as four.
- Teams in Dallas' spot have a record of 26-46 (36.1%) in Game 2s in opening rounds, 16-56 (22.2%) series record.
- When trailing a best-of-7 NBA playoff series 1-0 the Dallas Mavericks have an 8-8 Game 2 record and have a 6-10 series record.

I still like the Mavs chances in this series.
Game 1 was more of a must win for OKC than Dallas.
Give OKC credit for attacking Dirk's dribble in the final 3 minutes. That was the difference in the game, but I think that trick only works once.
Other than that, Dallas looked like the better team, so I still expect them to win this series. A victory tonight would go a long way towards that end.

Get a win tonight and game 1 isn't as bad a loss.
Bring it back to AAC tied 1-1!

Jason Kidd is amazing. Dude is about to be 40 and can play at the highest level. At 40 he could probably completely dominate at the collegiate level. Just some random thoughts.
I say mavs win tonight. They outplayed OKC except for the last few minutes. You could even sense the crowd being antsy. Either way Dirk is the best player in the series and they extend this series out starting tonight.

Marion was jacked up when talking to reporters today. I think it was mainly due to the line of questions headed his way, talking about Durant and etc.
Jason Terry has been otherworldly focused since the team got to OKC. It's total and complete tunnel vision.

Well. Marion & Terry have been great, so it's nice to see them pumped up and focused, but would be more important for Vince & Delonte to show up... Have no worries when it comes to last years core.

Carlisle, Marion, Terry, they all seem extremely focused and ready to destroy after game 1. They know they screwed up and they know (obviously) what's at stake here. I have faith in them for game 2, but needless to say if they lose I'll be spending the rest of the night eating tubs of ice cream and watching Lifetime.

We got this.
That horseshit shot by Durant has the Mavs all fired up for this one tonight and I'm feeling good about it.
LETS GO MAVS!

Loved RC's comments in the post game on Saturday. He was absolutely defiant about the Mavs continuing to attack and come at the Thunder.
The man's word is gold . . . we gonna win tonight, brotha!!!

For me, the most important thing the Mavs can do tonight is for Wright and Mahinmi to go bonzai on defense when they get in the game. We have 3 centers, and I see no reason for Wright/Mahinmi to play so pansy-a$$ed. So what if they get called for a foul? The Thunder have been making layups on all these drives, anyway. Make them earn it at the line. Make them think twice about coming to the rim.

I feel like on defense, Ian Mahinmi doesn't know what the hell he's doing out there 75% of the time. And on offense he's a master at going up slow/weak. The guy is just really frustrating to watch.

Yeah, Mahinmi is often tough to watch, but Wright can do a lot better than he did Saturday. I've seen him do it.
