The Official Mavericks @ Nuggets Game Day Thread 01/06/06
The Minnesota game was one of the worst of the year. Let's assume that Avery has tuned the gears a bit and that the guys will have a lot of pride coming out tonight. The Nuggets have already been exposed as a mediocre team with bad perimeter offense. So we're going to win.
Mavericks 109
Nuggets 101

Another tough game but I think Dallas can beat the nuggets. Could be high scoring. 100-93 mavericks.

Way to go Hex.....starting a GDT here lately has been ominous. Hex's mojo comes through as the Mavs beat my second favorite team. The Camby-less Nugs will be tough, but we shall prevail 102-100.
Go Mavs!

Mavs wanted to watch UT kick butt so they got it over with last game.
Denver gets a shellacking...110-90

The Mavs can't put up consecutive crapped games, can they?
Mavs by 10... Josh Howard locks Carmelo down and Daniels scores 15.

Low scoring affair, with the Mavs pulling away toward the end of the 3rd.

Come on man, how can you keep claiming this? Do you really think Dallas has won 23 games by accident? Like ANY coach, he might make some mistakes at times that cost a game, but its insane to think that the wins are coming despite the fact that Avery is at the helm.

Mavs' Daniels out at least 2 games
02:30 PM CST on Friday, January 6, 2006
By EDDIE SEFKO / The Dallas Morning News
Guard Marquis Daniels will miss at least the next two Mavericks games after aggravating a neck injury that kept him out of five games last month.
Daniels said he wasn't sure what happened to the neck against Minnesota on Wednesday, but stiffness and soreness have returned. He will miss Friday's game at Denver and Saturday's contest in Dallas against Minnesota.
Daniels, averaging 12.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists, will be re-evaluated before the team leaves on a trip to Boston and New York on Sunday.

Why did Dirk pass up that 3 pointer to shoot a crappy shot?
Shoot the damn ball Dirk.

Jason Terry is sucking at throwing the ball tonight. Two turnovers already and both were easy passes.
Is there anyone else poting tonight?

Hard to get rythy6m when you are constantly being yanked out. And sitting for long stretches too.

Someone has to help stackhouse on that. You can't expect stack to beat his man back down.

I really wish Van Hor would hit something. They need his scoring ability. He's too much of a liability if he doesn't score.

Avery may not be happy with the starters. But by that same token, he's not helping the starters at all by letting players shoot the way they've been the last several games.

The Mavericks offense appears a bit...discombobulated.
Harris appears hesitant to drive.
Weird first quarter.
Let's see some M'Benga.

Tonight is a night in which Dirk doesn't need to "shy away" and just let it fly. He probably won't shoot a great percentage. But his shot is better than everyone's except for Terry.
