One sad (but in retrospect it was kinda funny) thing my wife said when toddler Aaron was first on the screen (and at this point we didn't know it was Aaron)... she said "Oh no, he has Down syndrome".

Season 4 puts the other seasons to shame. And I thought they were damn good before.
Still, revealing baby Aaron was WAY too predictable, and is a major disappointment for a cliffhanger.
Especially compared to the cliffhanger of the last episode.

I think it's going to keep getting better.
This week, promises to be a good one. You would assume that this episode will address the 2 fellows that got on that helicopter. And then you would assume since one of them already had a centric episode, the other might be featured. And the last time he had a centric episode...it was freaking crazy. well....second to last time.

So do I watch LOST tonight after I get home from the Stars game? It's going to be really late....
I don't think I could sit here all day tomorrow having not seen it, though.
Who needs sleep?

Man I thought it was perfect. We've been moving fast with answers and questions and whatnot, I really enjoyed the emotions of this episode. Reminded me of late in the first season.

It just seemed hokey to me.
I thought when this all started in s1 JJ/ Lindeloff said that everything that was happening was realistic (meaning not fantasy time travel crap). I don't get this angle at all.
The whole constant thing was just goofy. And the phone call to Penny seemed forced and out of place. I don't know, I guess I've been spoiled by the previous 4 episodes. They can't all be spectacular.
Maybe I'm just mad at Avery.... maybe I should have recorded the game, not the show.

Ohmy god.
I thought it was brilliant. Just absolutely brilliant.
I need to watch it 5 more times.
I suspended belief a long long time ago...
That was great. I was glued to that thing like never before. It was just heart wrenching, and then she answered. I got a little (sports) emotional.
I need to think about this one.

They offered true proof this episode, with the calendar and penney standing in front of the xmas tree....Time is not moving any faster in the real world than on the island, and vice versa.
Traveling between the island and the real world, however....quite a difference. How to explain Walts growth then? Will we learn that Michael and Walt spent a period of years escaping the island to the real world?

Lost is embarrassing the crap out of all other TV series as they realize their own pathetic inferiority.

I just watched the episode on DVR, and I have to say I think it was damned superb and ranks way up there on my Lost episode list as one of the most interesting and engrossing ones that I have seen. Additionally, I also have to admit that after all of that build-up, the phone call also got me more than a little bit emotionally worked up for Desmond.
Again, great episode, and I'll be darned well interested to see how all of this consciousness time-travel madness plays out in the future of the series, and whether it ends up making any relative sense or not...

I'll be able to think through this episode a bit more tomorrow (in the meantime, this happened to me tonight. Not enjoyable. Lost a tire and my car for probably a week.)
I liked it. I'm starting to like Dan a lot more than I did at first.

U2, I hear that sentiment from people at random other points in the series; that they feel like they crossed the line on realism.
To me, they crossed it like halfway through season one, so that seems like a strange claim. But many people say it, at various points in the series.

Did they say it was "realistic"? Was that the term they used?
I thought they said everything would have a scientific explanation..in the same sense that "medicloreans" explain "the force".
I agree with jthig, this show has been stretching the bounds of reality for some time now.
Was there any worse offense than when the store clerk recognized Hurley as the lotto winner??
Thumbs up for last night.
