Dirkadirkastan- using your family genious! I'm truly impressed. You always had good analytical skills - I missed the Bayliss connection entirely. BTW, Did you decide on math as a major?
mary is innocent? now where's the fun in that revelation?

Dirka should be a math major. He's pretty good at it from what I can tell.
How are you doing at prob and stat this semester, dirka?

Its completely believable, isn't it?
It doesn't look like I participated in this age thread (it was started a month before I signed up), but four years ago I was 27.

Frighteningly close to 40, but I've always been quite juvenile.
Interesting comments above re: chess and old fogey's and fan forums and such.
I only ever ventured onto the web when I started playing chess online....from there I proceeded to spend some time in politics type forums. I came to loathe political discussions -- early 20-something GS trolls are rational and reasonable compared to the average national party partisan. I stumbled onto this forum purely by accident -- I didn't even know there was such a thing as an NBA fan forum before I started posting hear.
Incidentally...I've always been a sports nut. True story: My moms swears that I started reading Sports Illustrated before Kindegarten.

lmao, same here. I remember getting Sports Illustrated when the Cowboys won Super Bowl XXVII, which would be about 1st grade. It didn't last long though as my mom got freaked out that I was getting credit card offers and the swimsuit edition as a six year old.

I think learned how to do something other than read when I got the swimsuit edition.

The toughest thing about it all is the slacker bug. This forum doesn't help.

Heh, I had to avoid this forum for good chunks of this semester to survive taking Phsyics II and Prob & Stats at the same time.
