If it's 4 firsts doesn't that mean that they are staggered years and unprotected so they can convey? So... 2019 2021 2023 2025? If thats true this could potentially fuck the rockettes hard if they don't win and get injuries while strapped to cp3 bloated contract.

7-year rule allows a team to trade up to 4 picks between 2019 to 2025. The first has to alternate each year (19, 21, 23 and 25) and cannot have protection unless the pick does not rollover to the following season. Ex: Protected top 14 and doesn’t convey if HOU is in the lottery.

If the Rockets pay 4 firsts for Butler without an extension in place then they're toast... Minnesota would be stupid to turn down this offer -- a bunch of firsts is what allowed Boston to build a contender.
