2 more entourage episodes til I have to wait til June for the next season. Heroes should keep me entertained through at least part of that.

And now sadly, Studio 60 is over for me.
I like that show. I like that show a lot. I wonder how the season would've ended up if Sorkin had known he had more room to grow in it.
I will never feel about 'Matt and Danny' like I do about 'Dan and Casey', but I see the similarities and the Sorkin parallels and I like them. The 'Sports Night' references really got hot and heavy there towards the end.
Despite all of Sorkin's liberal tendencies, I will continue to blindly go and watch where he leads. He wrote the screen play for an upcoming Tom Hanks WWII movie. So there I shall go next.

I've been watching "Flight of the Conchords" on HBO as of late, and I'm really starting to dig this show. It's a comedy about a New Zealand rock/pop duo (and their manager) trying to make it in New York. The dialogue is incredibly dry, but the songs (there's 2 or 3 per episode) are utterly ridiculous. Good stuff.

The fact that "30 Rock" won the Emmy for best comedy series tonight, really shows you;
a.) How meaningless those awards shows are, or
b.) What incredibly bad taste people have.
The Office is the best comedy series. I really don't personally see how it is even close.
But I suppose opinions are like uncles who get drunk and take their pants off at weddings....everybody's got one.

I've watched it a couple of times since the pilot, and I admit it's better than I give it credit for. But I just remember watching the first one and being incredibly turned off. For me personally, Tina Fey's character is just not likeable.

Going into the new season these are my shows....
Lost
Jericho
and a bit reluctantly...... Heroes.... although it's only the finale that makes me feel that way. I really want to see Hiro facing his ancestors.

I'm going to give the controversial "Kid Nation" a shot, as well as "Journeyman". I was a big Quantum Leap fan as a little kiddie. Journeyman looks like it has a similar plot AND it stars the guy that played Vorpe...err...Vorenus on Rome.

God I wish they still made tv like that.
I can hardly find any shows I want to watch anymore. Probably mostly just me getting old.

I'm going with:
LOST
Heroes
The Office
24....but it's on probation
Scrubs (If I happen to have nothing else to do)
...same with My Name is Earl
New shows - Haven't really seen anything that I'm interested in. That "Chuck" looks like it could have potential, which means it'll be dead by xmas....

Lost
Heroes
The Office
Gray's Anatomy
How I Met Your Mother
I'll be giving Chuck a chance, but I don't expect much.
I'll probably give 30 Rock a chance, because people swear it's funny, but Tracy Morgan beats me to death, so not sure what to expect.
I'm somewhat interested in Back to You, simply because I enjoyed both shows that the stars were in before. But again, I'm not expecting much.

I think I'll throw 'How I met your mother' on the DVR at least. I've seen it a couple times and people seem to be pretty high on it.

This fall it will be solely Heroes. Nothing else really interests me.
Next spring, 24, Lost, and the new Transformers series. It's the first once since the Beast Era (which is <3 to me) to be a completely American show, and not a dub of a Japanese one, so I'm hopeful.

i don't get the love for entourage. yes, piven is great. but after that? it's a beat-down of bad acting, especially grenier.
now, Curb your enthusiasm is a great show.
as for new shows this season that I think I'll be watching:
Journeyman
Bionic Woman
Chuck
Nashville (watched the pilot - it was bad, but hey, i live in nashville, so it's cool to see the local places)
Kitchen Nightmares (Ramsey yelling at random people? I'm there)
will watch the pilot, but expect not to watch any more:
Kid Nation
Cavemen
K-Ville (maybe - just cause I'm from Louisiana originally)

Awww, c'mon, you can't rag on entourage for having bad acting and then overlook it on Curb your Enthusiasm.
For the record, I love both shows.

Many of my friends watch entourage...I'm debating getting into it.

This is what I am currently watching, and what I am looking forward to watching soon...
Current:
Mad Men
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Top Chef
Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares Revisited (the English BBC America version on Thurs. nights)
Solitary 2.0
Will be watching soon:
Heroes
Battlestar Galactica (November)
Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares (American version)
Kid Nation (I'll give this child exploitation show a chance)
Dexter Season 2
The Wire (It's supposed to start airing in Jan., but it's not too soon to start getting excited)
The Shield (Late 07 or early 08)
Lost (although Feb. of 08 is too damned long to wait)

I've watching Top Chef right now as well, but that really counts as a wife show. Were I not married, I would not be watching it, although it's entertaining.
I have several wife shows, some of which I'm willing to admit, some that I'm not....

I don't know if you expect them to act like good actors... or act like the personality they are playing... because they are doing great on the latter.
Vince is swave but dumb. He's suppose to be.
Drama is a douche.. he's suppose to be.
E is exactly like he's suppose to be.
Ari is a badass. Ari's wife is badass.
Lloyd is hysterical.
Billy Walsh is a crazy artist.
They are all playing their roles perfectly.. what exactly do you have a problem with?

Of course curb your enthusiasm has bad acting. Larry David's not an actor. Although by now, he should be considered one. But any bad acting is overshadowed by the plotlines and hilarity of the episode.
To me, entourage doesn't have anything redeeming like that. Nothing special going for it outside of Jeremy Piven. I recognize it has some good supporting actors/actresses in minor roles like Carla Gugino, but of the main 5 characters, only Ari is worth watching.
Fluid, I understand that they are playing characters. That's what acting is. So I'll give them credit there - they've been able to keep an acting job. But the dialogue between the 4 is badly acted, and the weakness of the other 4 especially shows anytime they share screen time with piven.
I just don't get the love for it. And I haven't just watched one episode and stopped. I watched it, didn't like it. But others told me to give it some more shots. I'm open-minded, so I did, and it's still bad.

I have 3 wife shows..... one that I actually enjoy.
the new adventures of old christine (the only comedy I watch and the only "wife" show I enjoy)
(I am distancing from these two..... but I like that my wife enjoys them)
Desperate Housewives (severe beating)
Grey's Anatomy (severely severe beating from hell)

You find Grey's Anatomy to be a bigger beating than Desperate Housewives? Wow.
Grey's Anatomy started out as a wife show for me, I certainly wouldn't have started watching it if she didn't, but I enjoy it quite a bit now. Sue me I guess.
