Which is why it didn't happen? Or are you saying it would've been more than that even? In which case, I'm even more in favor of the Parsons signing.

I think the Mavs' offer for Melo started at 18?

So no sign and trade possibilities for Bledsoe ...this off season has been crazy and got me thinking Morey-like.
I guess Mo would be sufficient.

Now give Mo Williams that 2.7mill exception, resign Blair for minimum and we're set.
Our front office deserves a standing ovation for this. Getting Tyson and Parsons... WOW

I don't think Blair's coming back.

Blair is looking for more money than minimum... Plus we just signed Greg Smith, who is kind of similar to Blair.

I'd still love him at the min, but his Spurs series probably earned him 2-3 at least

I thought it was rumored that Mo would sign for the min and Blair wouldn't.

I'd like to see the Mavs pick up a solid perimeter defender or another backup 4/5.

Sucks to be a Rockets fan right now.... terrible off-season for a team expecting to make the jump to the top of the Western Conference.
Lost: Parsons, Lin, Asik, multiple 1st & 2nd round picks
Struck out with: Bosh, Melo, Lowry
Added: Trevor Ariza

We really dodged a bullet with that one... It's not all Williams' fault though, he basically hasn't been healthy since like 2010. Anyway, i'm excited about this roster, even about Felton. I'm a big Gallo fan, so i've seen a lot of Felton's matches, ironically exactly when he played by far his best half season of his career. During those months, at times he honestly seemed unstoppable. I'm really not getting my hopes up of course, chances are that we are going to get the out of shape, terrible version, but still, who knows. Maybe Carlisle and Dirk will get to him.

Don't think we've heard what Blair wants. Mo was rumored to get 3-4, but I'm guessing we only talked to him about the exception (2.7m)
Blair would probably be dumb to take the min here, though. He needs max minutes to get a better contract in 2015 when the cap goes up to 70-74mill. With Chandler getting 30mpg, and wright still here, he's not going to get much even if he beats Smith and James.

I don't see a need for Blair now that we have Smith but think we need a PF who can stretch the floor as Dirk's backup. We have plenty of centers now unless they plan to move Wright which I think is a strong possibility.
But Smith looks capable of being a legit backup center or would at least fill the role that Blair had last season.

Wright is a natural PF who lead the league in offensive efficiency. Crowder and Parsons have both played the PF and can hit threes. I don't see it as a huge need but Tolliver is still out there. Shot 41.3% from three last year.

I loved Blair, although he had zero athleticism and was very under sized, had great intensity and a great nose for offensive rebounds ...he lost many battles against Duncan in this year's playoff, but he made a difference more often than not.
I'd very much prefer Blair as backup PF, as I'm not sold on Smith at either big position.

Tolliver or Antwan Jamison. Jeff Adrien who played for the Bucks last season is an energy player. All 3 could be had at the minimum.
Sign Mo and call it an A offseason.

Really liking our 2 deep roster right now.
Felton/Harris/Mekel as the pg
Ellis/Ledo at the sg
Parsons/Crowder/James at the sf
Nowitzki/Wright at the pf
Chandler/G.Smith at the center

Pretty sure you meant to put James at C and Jefferson instead of James?

James signed with Cleveland so you can scratch him off as 3rd string SF
Seriously, I'm not as excited about our 2 deep roster yet but we still have some moves to make.
Also, Jefferson should be on that list too.

He's kinda out of control in the summer league. But he's just trying to get shots up and exhibit his talent. He wouldn't do that kinda stuff playing under Carlisle in a real game. He's still raw, but you can see the talent and potential there.

@WojYahooNBA: Chris Andersen -- the Birdman -- reaches agreement on a multi-year deal to return to the Miami Heat, league source tells Yahoo Sports.

Isn't it too difficult to determine how Ledo could do in a regular season game yet, considering the summer league is a cpl steps up from pick up ball at the rec? Even if you are going to judge him on his SL play... it's 2 games. Definitely wouldn't count on him to be a consistent addition to the rotation. I think he needs to be on the active to start the season and let him play his way to his own destination this season. Get him in as much as we can afford to and if he is still not quite ready, drop him down. Go from there.
