3 Trades to get tough inside and more playing time for the young guys.
1st. Trade. (DALLAS n CHICAGO)
Finley and Delk for Davis and Chandler.
Get Finley to Chicago we get a serviceable center and a young Stud. I see Chandler with a chance of blossom like O'neal in Indiana.
2nd. Trade (DALLAS N NEW JERSEY)
Walker for Martin and Mourning.
This is a sign and trade on Martin, Mourning will be just to match money.
3rd. Trade (DALLAS N CHARLOTTE)
Jamison for 1 st pick.
I hate to see Jamison go, but with Martin being max out on money we have to get ride of some money at the same time your freeing up time for Danields and Howard plus Dirk some small forward.
New Line up.
5 - Davis / Bradley / Martin
4 - Martin / Chandler
3 - Dirk/ Howard
2 - Danields / Howard
1 - Nash / (need help) maybe Jamir Nelson with Charlotte pick.
Everybody knows that dirk will get his minutes at 3,4,5 spots.
The more I see this Line up the more I like it, I know it will take a lot of movement but I think is possible.
COMMENTS?

RE:3 Trades to get tough inside and more playing time for the young guys.
Trade #1 works....I think it is more likely to be Walker/Delk instead of Fin, but a good trade for sure.
Trade #2 I don't think will work at all, unless they don't think they can sign Martin, and they are wanting to free up $$$. I very seriously doubt it happening, but who knows.
Trade #3 IMO doesn't happen, if 1 & 2 do. I don't think Charlotte does it, and hopefully Dirk doesn't get moved to the 3. That would leave them short at the 3. I think Jamison would stay. So I didn't include this happening.
Lineup: (IMO: should look more like this)
5 - Chandler/ Davis / Bradley
4 - Dirk / Martin / Najera
3 - Martin / Jamison
2 - Howard / Daniels
1 - Nash / Daniels / Stefannson
I would still like a veteran guard to come off the bench - Armstrong, NVE, Barry, etc........But this would be a pretty good lineup. Tag added to Bang, probably wouldn't be a bad role for him either.
Wonder if Utah would do a Fortson + 2nd rounder for SNT (Ostertag)
That would make them long, athletic, tougher: I would expect this to be a championship contender for a lineup.

not going to comment on all of that, but I will say that if the back stays healthy, chandler will be a beast!...though he has a different game than J.O'neals....but who would you rather have....chandler or okafor?

Okafor. Questions on back cause doubts, but I'd be very happy with either.
As for the trades, I don't think that Chicago does #1. Switch to Walker and Delk or better yet Fortson and Delk and there's a very good chance IMO. It's just hard to give up 2 bigs for 2 smalls. And I'd happily do any trade (Finley + Delk/Walker + Delk/Walker + Fortson) from a Mavs viewpoint. I just don't think that Chicago does the Finely + Delk.
Let's go to #3. I'd do this one if we could get Charlotte to pick Jamison as an part of the expansion draft. Then I believe that we'd get the trade exception. And I'd take either the #4 pick in this year's draft or Charlotte's #1 next year.
Now looking at #2 I don't think this would work as a straight up trade because Martin would be a BYC player. There would need to be many more players involved. But if we don't do #1 or somehow snooker Chicago in trading Chandler for Fin and Delk or Fin and Fortson, then we could trade Walker + Charlotte's draft pick for Mourning + Martin and use the trade exception to make up for the disparate salary that we'd be taking back.

Look Fanatik33? If I'm using Mourning only to get the interest of Jersey to sign Martin for the max( around 8-10 mil ). and send to the Mavs for sorry Walker. I'm assuming Martin and Mourning will match Walker's 14+ mil.
Somebody help me on these even retire is the player still counting agains the Cap?
Jordan has bad knees
Barkley is to Fat , but nice try.

I don't know how any team in their right mind would trade Martin for Walker. But other than that, good start fanatico.
