We''re also 12th in the Conference. We need to outplay at least 4 teams by 3.5 games. We also have one of the hardest closing schedules, and we're 7-17 in games within 3 points in the final minute. It's a lot further than it seems.

The Mavs with a healthy, integrated Dirk are a different team. They have the potential to be get much better. If a trade can bring us a decent veteran point guard, we can surely get into the playoffs. All we really need is someone who can run a decent pick and roll with Dirk. We can trade for someone or teach someone...either is entirely possible...my money is on Mayo.

Someone get Mayo some game tape of JET and Dirk running the pick and roll. If these 2 could get that figured out that will take this offense to another level.

Exactly. Jet always looks back at Dirk to try to hit him on a pop. Mayo just doesn't have the BBall IQ to do that in a free flow offense.
