ps3 just seems sexy to me... especially with the bluray. I had a 360 for awhile and it didn't blow me away, but there have been a lot of games released since then.

either way, I'm going to get a new system around may. Which leads into the question...

What PC game should I buy to bide my time?

I haven't played Starcraft in a good six months, and I'd completely forgotten about it until I saw that post. It truly is perfection.

Zelda: Twilight Princess and Super Mario Galaxy.

This semester is going to be easy for me, so I feel massive temptation to start playing World of Warcraft again. I must suppress these feelings.

resist the urge!!

I think I'm going to start playing Titan Quest. It's kind of like Diablo II with better graphics.

Titan Quest was awesome on the LAN-party last year.

Now, I've discovered a network-ready version of Transport Tycoon, and it's building tracks and streets all over for me again. So much fun with 10 People on a server!
I'm still waiting for Pizza Connection to be redesigned with a network code, though.

The retro-movement definitely got me, my SNES Emu on my PS2 is always good for some fun.

Anyone of you ever played "Chef's Luv Shack" on PS? Classic!

Luckily, I don't have as many loved ones as you do

I'm gonna get Lego Star Wars first, then Mario Galaxy.

We have 2 weeks before we move into the house, so for this week, I'm gonna get my pro rating on Golf and Tennis up to where it is on my buddy's Wii.

Alright ladies, i'm getting my PS3 tonight, and i need advice. Right now, i have enough money to buy the PS3 and 1 game.......which game should i get? I want Madden, but i'm still going to play that on my ps2 until i give it away next month. I also want to buy Rock Band, but it's way too expensive, although i'll probably end up buying it next week. Help!

Yeah, we bought Mario Galaxy like 2 weeks ago, and I still haven't had a chance to start it yet. Oh I miss college and free time to play video games...

But I did golf a -7 on Wii Golf the other day. I found this web site where this guy explains how to golf a -10 or -12 consistently, but screw me, I can't do it.

I've started playing Guitar Hero on the new 360 we recently got at work.

I've done all the hardest songs on easy setting no problem, but dangit I can't move up to medium. That fourth button just kills me. Maybe I have a defective pinky.

Fun game huh? You just really have to concentrate. Once you get to some songs on hard or expert, you'll be surprised. You'll just hit the notes, much like typing, without even thinking about it, it's like the info enters your eye, bypasses the brain, and goes straight to the fingertips.

Thanks Shaggy, but i already bought Rock Band. And i don't plan on buying another video game anytime soon. I think it's outrageous that a single video game cost $170.

But what was the last game that came with so much gear? I think it was worth it, I have a lot of get togethers with some friends, and Rock Band is loads of fun. There's a new accessory for it that'll be coming out soon, which is basically a stage, with lights and a smoke machine that goes along with the song in the game....... I might even buy that (it's worth 100,000 geek points).

$170 is $170. I agree bernie that it's worth the price, but i still want to whine about paying for it.

I love my 360. I think Xbox Live is absolutley amazing. I'm addicted to Rock Band, and the fact that new music (eventually albums like Nirvana -Nevermind) are released every Tuesday, the game doesn't get stale at all.

Currently i'm playing Mass Effect, NBA 2k8, Devil May Cry 4, and COD 4.

Can't wait for games like Fable II, GTA 4, Ninja Gaiden, Alone in the Dark, Star Wars: Force Unleashed, and Army of Two.

mass effect is amazing. I watched my friend play just a couple of scouting missions and I got hooked-- there is so much content in the game and its all so cinematic. First time I've really been fooled into thinking I was playing a movie or one of the better Star Trek episodes.

Course I'm also a female captain in the game and the alien-lesbian sex is mind blowing :b

Oh man, you are kidding me! Easy song! It's so short too. I'm assuming you're doing it on the Hard difficulty. The main riff....... just hold green and strum and tap red. Never let go of green on that part. Have fun! Some of the later songs can be pretty heavy on the hammer-ons. I simply cannot beat Joker & The Thief by Wolfmother because of the initial hammer-ons (Green>yellow, Red>blue for like a whole minute).

Add me to your xbox live, I was playing earlier today. Alias is bernardos70.

It's sad i'm doing it on medium. And my game doesn't let me just hold down the strum and press the other buttons. I tried it for another song, and it wouldn't let me. And i don't have a 360, PS3.

oww, that sucks man.

But I guarantee you you can keep holding the lower button and press a higher one. Just like in a real guitar, you can fret a string on two parts, the part that will sound is the one further away from the head of the guitar. The only exception is when there's a two button note. In fact, this skill is crucial once you're playing on the harder difficulties. I suggest you try easy songs on Hard, as it'll use all 5 buttons.

Just picked up a PS3 yesterday. (Free Spiderman Blu Ray as well.) Picked up College Hoops 2K8 and FIFA 08 with it. Really awesome. The controller felt weird at first, I haven't held a PS controller since I had the PS2 years ago.

I'm thinking about selling my wii. Every time I get a new game I finish it quickly and go right back to playing RE4. I blasted through Mario Galaxy and found it to be a less entertaining version of Mario64, and No More Hero's was all hype, yeah the Boss fights were kinda cool, but the everything else in the game was tedious. If Smash Bro turn out to be a dud I am definitely hawking the thing.

I can't afford any of that hi-tech stuff, so I just play old games all day with DOSBox.

I just bought Super Smash Bros Brawl. Haven't played it much yet, but everything about it so far is awesome. I cannot wait to get Sonic.

SSBB is freakin' awesome!

All the new characters are really cool.. I'm the best with toon link so far. Sonic seems like he'd be really good if you're used to him because he's so fast, but I'm just decent with him.

You can save your name when you do vs. battles and it keeps track of a bunch of lifetime stats which I thought was really cool.

There's also a story mode that involves all the characters and is really fun.

haven't played online yet.

Playing MLB 08 The Show right now on PS3. F'n unbelievable game. Even if you don't like baseball, this is the best sports game of all time in my opinion.

The other two that I somewhat playing are NHL 08, which is great, and NBA2K8. In my mind, NBA2K8 was the best sports title that I had ever played until The Show came out, but now, sadly its just #2.
