Still love him but he?s a little raw. Playtime should help.

Didn?t Kidd say that Omax wasn?t going to the Legends? Does this mean one of the two ways is moving up, or being released?

Wow, so Cuban basically sold the team but gets to keep control of the team? How the hell does that work?

Lively will play, but I'm still trying to wrap my head around Cuban selling the team. Like, has there ever been a billionaire more full of shit than him? It's just so weak to sell right now that it's part hilarious and part tragic.
All that mattered was his money and now he somehow still runs the team? That's the part of the job he was the worst at.

Ugh. The range of emotion reading the article. Cuban is selling majority stake in the team (yay!), but will still control the team (huh? Fuck!). Cuban is also leaving Shark Tank after 16 years. Wonder what he has going on?

Really wonder how longterm this lasts before Adelson pushes Cuban out.
Does Cuban have any stake now? Can the team finally overspend a little bit lol

Well he looks like a joke after this, so I'm sure he won't want to be teased and bullied by the other billionaires night in and night out.

Before Luka signs his new contract. He has a PO in 2026. What bigger stage for Luka then playing in Las Vegas. The article below says the arena will be complete in 2026. The article below that state that the land the area will be built on, has ties the Sands.

Lol it's so obvious...
Cuban's play is all for that sweet, sweet casino money. Adelson was carefully chosen as a majority partner that will help guide development of a new arena/casino area once they legislation passes, which it will eventually. Adelson also has deep ties to the Republican party which is who will need convincing to give the people what they want: legalized gambling.
No clue on the Shark Tank stuff, but 16 years is a really long time...probably just tired of the commitment.

It'd have to be a trade. Not sure what I'd give them, but Josh Green seems like a valuable piece with a matching salary that they'd want and who has no clear role here.

Hate to give up a younger Green for DFS. Green is one of the few chips we have to use on a bigger fish. I think a lot of fans were okay giving up DFS because he wasn?t really the same player.

We've already been down the DFS path. He's a nice, likable guy, but I'm guessing the Nets would be asking a lot for him. Wouldn't be worth it.

One source close to the sale process tells @TheSteinLine that Sands Corp. president Patrick Dumont will become Mavericks governor and Mark Cuban will shift to alternate governor if their sale agreement is formally approved next month by the NBA.
I?m worried that Kyrie will use this as an excuse to quit.

I dont get why we'd want to bring him back except for vibes and Luka's friend. I dont think he's washed but its diminishing returns imo.
I guess Im more afraid of seeing a lineup of DFS Powell Kleber again.

Another interesting article from Mavs Moneyball that gives some interesting insight into Luka and differences between the NBA and European approaches to coaching.

For anyone wanting more insight on the Mavericks sale with Adelsons,
the new podcast episode of Hoop Collective with Windhorst, Tim Mcmahon, and Bontemps
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66z1fw4yHDE
It happens at the very beginning of the pod.
Also minute 38, Tim talks about how great mavs are in the clutch this season.

Nobody pays 3.5 billion and doesn't own the team. Anybody that thinks otherwise is just being fooled. They might allow Cuban to run it, fine, but the Adelsons own the team now.
Breaking Points thinks Cuban might to run for president.

Adelsons are VERY hands on in all their investments. I am not terribly optimistic about this one.

Cuban wants to build a venetian type resort with a new arena and a gambling casino. Personally, I doubt he wants to run for president.

1. Fk the idea of Cuban running for president. If he wants to waste his time, then feel free. I fogured he was wanting to split more time towards family and his cost plus drugs company.
2) Cuban not running the team is worth a shot, imo. It may prove to be a mistake, but we wont have to worry about over loyalty to scrubs and under loyalty to actual talent. Actually theres a lot of change that I woukd welcome regarding Cuban being much less involved.
