Sitewide Slowdown
As I'm sure all of you are aware, we've been experiencing some major slowdowns the last couple of days. The problem has to do with the server crapping out, but our admin has been hard at work in trying to get things back to normal again. Hopefully the problems will be resolved soon. Thanks for your patience!

It's still slow on my end, but a little faster than it was a few days ago.

It's 10:38 CST on my end and this board is lagging...I'll check back in later, or perhaps on Monday...if things are running smoothly then great if not, hey it's a reminder of why I don't ever want to go back to dial-up...:-)

It was too good to be true. Hopefully you will find the reason for this problem asap, cuz it´s very unnerving.

Hey dj...have you ever found more photos of your sweetie-pie avatar? I saw a huge photo shoot of here somewhere.

The new banner at the top of the forum looks great, and the speed is back up to what it used to be. Thanks DJ

The new banner is too wide for my monitor. It's not that fun to scroll left and right to read every line.

Yes, please go to the former 4:3 display format, otherwise it´s very inconvenient.

Why do you switch to the 16:9 format again? It´s a nice banner, but isn´t it possible to make it as narrow that it fits for the 4:3 format, cuz the most users have this display format I think. To read the posts is much more convenient at the old display format!

If it stays 16:9 then everybody should hit the return key early
to avoid the left-right scrolling

I hate to see the sacrifice of the art of windmill, but I see there was an almost 200 pixel (horizontal) reduction in size of that new image, and that is appreciated.
At home, the new one was fine for me and my 19" flat panel, but at work, the new one was a beating, and I was having the same kind of scrolling problems as everyone else.
thanks for the fix boys

Yes! The new banner is even cooler, and it also eliminates the scrolling problem I was having as well. Thanks DJ for switching back to the old format, and to Winmill for the banner, it's awesome.
