So they take 2 minutes out of the entire season to do something different, and suddenly it is Glee? Well to each his own, I guess...

Do something different? The show has, well at least had, like five plot lines including *spoiler* ALIENS! *spoiler*...It really didn't need anything more zany I promise you that.

Actually, I really liked it for the first six or so episodes but like the first season it becomes a little too ADD with too much going on.

Been catching up with It's Always Sunny in Philadephia. Just finished season 4 and thought it was fantastic. Seems to be getting better with each season. I hope that continues.

Walking Dead season finale was really good. This season was definitely my favorite of the three. The show has a "John Carpenter" vibe now which I really dig.

Forgot where the other TV thread is, so I couldn't find out if someone else has mentioned Rubicon. I'm about halfway through it. Kind of slow, but atmospheric and Wirish. A show you have to put the ipad down to watch.
Also really enjoying The Americans.

I'm re-watching The Walking Dead.. It's absolutely amazing how much better the show has gotten. I almost dropped the show early in the first season.. Now, it's one of the better shows in the history of TV.

Is anyone still watching Fringe? I have the entire 5th season clogging up my DVR and I haven't felt compelled to watch it but I can't bring myself to delete it either?

If you have Netflix, you can clear your DVR. The entire series is online now.

It's not. I think it ended a few months ago.

I completely quit on Fringe after season...3..I think. It wasn't a conscious decision; other shows just interested me more to the point that I didn't have time. It's on my list of shows to catch up on via Netflix at some point.

I marathoned through season one of Fringe and thought it was pretty interesting, but close to the end of the season it was kind of just on in the background and I totally lost track of the long-range serial storyline so that I was completely lost when I got to season two. I'll probably go back to it but I'll have to back up a few episodes.

Just finished season 1 of Game of Thrones. It's a solid series.. I've enjoyed the books so far and enjoyed the TV series. It's by no means the best of its genre as far as the books are concerned..but very solid. A couple of characters,..well, surprised they didn't use someone attractive. Lena Headey just doesn't cut it as Cersei as far as looks go.

Caught the first couple of episodes of the new season Arrested Development. Still as brilliant as ever, even after a seven-year hiatus.

Really? I watched episodes one and two last night and will start watching again after the Rangers game is over... I wasn't much of a fan. The second episode was all right, but the first one I didn't even smile until the last two seconds of the epilogue.
Didn't really feel the same to me. Maybe it'll get better.

I agree about the first episode...which is the only one I've watched so far. I didn't laugh once. Hopefully the rest will be better.

What would you guys list as your 5 favorite current shows? Mine are:
- Justified
- Mad Men
- Family Guy
- The Following
- Person of Interest
Southland, The Office, and Don't Trust The B---- In Apartment 23 all would have made the list if they were still on. Rough summer of cuts for me.

1. Breaking Bad
2. Mad Men
3. Game of Thrones
4. Community
5. Homeland
Those five, Walking Dead, and Dexter are the only shows I watch, and I don't even really like WD or Dexter. Community would have been much higher a year ago.

1. Homeland
2. Game of Thrones
3. Deadliest Catch
4. Mad Men
5. Big Bang Theory (even though it has been inconsistent lately, still hilarious moments)

Agreed... how bad was this season? Did they take fan-submitted scripts or what? Losing Harmon clearly crippled the show, creatively.

Bejeezus Portia de Rossi has had some work done. Lindsey Funke looks like a different person.

Don't know if she had work done (I'm sure she has), but she has definitely lost waaaaaaaaaaay too much weight. Portia has always been on the thinner side, but this is extreme.

Okay, just finished all 15. The last five episodes, basically once the plot turned to George Michael, Maeby, and Buster, were solid. Of course, plotlines involving them were my favorites in seasons 1-3.

I'm through the 7th or 8th episode of the new AD. They definitely get stronger as they go, for me. The first one was pretty good, but that second one was really weak. After that they've gotten consistently better.
And yeah, Portia de Rossi looks absolutely bizarre. Like she can't move her eyebrows or forehead.

Im pretty steeped in Wild Kratts these days. It's gotten to the point where I need to get Netflix in order to access their earlier shows, like Zoboomafoo & Kratts Creatures. Most genius kid show ever!
Other than that, it's sports, sports & more sports with a bit of Big Bang Theory thrown in.

Ha ha ha didn't realize we were talking kids shows, too.
Super Why, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Curious George seem to be the current staples for my youngest kids, where ALL the disney "tween" shows are the choice for my oldest. I actually don't mind watching "Good Luck Charlie", and am secretly excited for the upcoming "Girl Meets World".

I suppose my shows right now are:
Walking Dead
Criminal Minds
The Following (although it did not end well at all)
The Americans
Game of Thrones
That's about it. I watch a reality show/competition right now only because I have a relative that's doing quite well. Otherwise, I had never seen the show and will never watch it once she/he's off the show.

Which reality show?
I agree on The Following. The show had great production values but was frustrating to watch as the FBI made mistake after mistake. It was like keystone Kops.
The Americans was excellent. My favorite new show of the year, by far.

GOT is certainly up there with the best "people get murdered" shows of all time.

Man, I knew that was coming and it was still brutal.
Think we'll get the next wedding next week, or will that wait until the beginning of season 4?
