Best center in the draft
Ayton, Bamba, Jackson, Robinson are by far the most intriguing... Still giving Ayton the edge because I think he can improve tremendously as a defender. Arizona completely ignored that end of the floor, but he was still a decent rim protector... But if Bamba can put it all together offensively, then he might ultimately become the better player.

Bamba. Nothing against Ayton, either. They will both be beasts. I just think Bamba has the slightly higher ceiling and will reach it.

Added. I was debating on whether to put him on forward or center. With more and more centers going the Raef LaFrentz route, it's hard to even separate forwards from centers.
At least in the past he would have been considered a little undersized (both in terms of weight and height) for NBA center, but..
ECF
Baynes 6'10"
Love 6'10"
WCF
Capela 6'10"
Durant 6'9"
No team with a center over 6'10" is still in the playoffs.
Maybe Jackson is the next big center and Ayton/Bamba are anachronisms.

I'm assuming "Porter (Missouri)" is Jontay and not Michael? Because I bet whoever voted for him missed that fact...

Nah, he's a 6-10 SF, could be a PF if he bulked up a bit... But in this poll the "Porter" is Jontay Porter, who ALSO played for Missouri as a F/C.

I also think it might be Mo Bamba. Rawer, but more potential.
He's who I think the Mavs should take, if still available (and looking like he might be). They NEED a defensive stop gap, and working with DSJ, he should get lots of lobs and other easy baskets as he works on his offensive game.
I think of him as a more athletic, longer DeAndre Jordan, and probably higher offensive ceiling.
Nervous about Ayton. Long list of 'sure fire' centers who never panned out at all. Maybe he's not one of them...but maybe he is.

Bamba climbing after interviews and combine
Some predicting he'll go 3rd. Some whispers 1st may be within reach.
Draft is going to be a rollercoaster.

I'd draft Bamba without hesitation at 1. He absolutely has an "it" factor that one can't measure. A guy with a high BBIQ, high talent, and a will to get better is one to bet on.
That's not to say I still wouldn't go Ayton and Bagley over him, but there is no "regret" at picking him 1 if it happened. Certainly wouldn't be shocking.
Funny though that tankathon has him falling to 7. He would be an absolute steal for the Bulls if that happened.
