What is disturbed it the fact that you put this in the Other Sports Section and not the Lounge.

What the heck are you talking about Dooby? .
Anyway, what spinning in my CD player?
Dub miller - American Tribudor
Brewed In Texas - Texas Original Happy Hour
Todd Snider - New Connection
That's about it. CD player in the truck doesn't play cds anymore so I don't listen to 'em as much.

On my CD player is a collection of miscellaneous Billy Holiday songs downloaded thru Morpheus--mostly from her "Songs for Distingué Lovers" recording.
They were the last files I was able to retrieve from my hard drive before it clicked and ground to a steaming, smoking, everything-else destroying halt.

I've never understood the relation between selling out and making good music? Good music is good music.
Counting Crows - Hard Candy
AudioVent - Dirty Sexy Nights In Paris

It was a joke.
which is why I went 'hehe' at the end.
It's just something between me and the band
in question, that OzMavs knows about.
I'll make it more obvious next time.

Let's see if I can remember what's in the ol' 10 disc changer in the truck.
Bruce Springsteen -- The Rising
" " -- Born to Run
" " -- Darkness on the Edge of Town
Red Hot Chili Peppers - By the Way
Counting Crows - Hard Candy
Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band -- Live 1975 - 1985 (Three discs!)
Aerosmith -- O Yeah, greatest Hits (2 discs)
that would be it... recent players also included Old 97's, Southern Culture on the Skids, Oasis...

Supergrass rule, you've inspired me to listen to them now.
Except I think I'll put on 'In It For The Money' instead.
I over playerd I Should Coco to the extreme in my teens, not sure
if i'm quite over it yet.

Damn you Veruca, this is my 500th post and I have to aim it squarely at you and pull the trigger!
I still like the Vines, they haven't got too much commercial airplay, so think it is still cool to listen to them. But I like your other choices, you can keep Oasis. Overrated

I adore it, to me it's the best thing they've made since Definitely Maybe.
I'm also not a good source for Oasis information, i think they may mean to me,
what Counting Crows mean to you.
They've been my favourite band since i was 12.

good god - I haven't even heard of most of the names listed here. I don't know what's the band, what's the album name, or what might be adjectives describing either.
Lee Morgan: The Rumproller
Kevin Mahogany: My Romance
The Best of John Coltrane

Tool is great. Nirvana In Utero is one of my favorite albums of all time. Haven't picked up the Chili Peppers yet but can't wait to hear it. Good stuff here from everyone.

As someone who has listened to the Chili Peppers since 1989, I can tell you that they have gone downhill. I think they were a much better band before they wrote that damn "Under the Bridge."

I'm right there with you, I wasn't all that impressed with Californication. The SBSM album was the turning point of their career, the "Under the Bridge" time you mentioned. The earlier stuff was absolutley their best:
-Fight Like A Brave
-Freaky Styley
-Behind the Sun
-Catholic School Girls Rule
All of the above is pre-89 stuff you should check out.
I always have hope with every new album that they will revisit their roots a little bit.

I have all their albumns now, but I started listening with Mother's Milk, which IMO was their most solid musical effort.

Fight Like a Brave is my favorite RCHP song. Hillel's solo is sick.
I like the new album better than Californication, but I still prefer the funky, old-skool Peppers.
