The proverbial turd floater
It is raining so hard here right now. We have lost power several times and you cannot even see ten feet out the door. It is a true Texas turd floater down here. How's the weather in Dallas and other areas today?

Weather is fine today. Clowdy; high of 88 (I think I'll put on a sweater). Rained hard the last couple of nights, though.

From my perch on the 15th floor overlooking Central, it looks like we're due to be hammered...

RE: The proverbial turd floater
The rain has begun pounding Irving as of 5 minutes ago. I work on the top floor of my building and watched the wall of rain come towards us... it was really cool.
I love the rain.

I've had to reboot like six times today because of the weather related power surges.

RE: The proverbial turd floater
Hey Doc... you could stop that with a UPS. But if your electrical circuits are that susceptible to brown outs I would just shutdown your computer during weather like that.

It really doesn't happen that often. They are moving the servers to a new building today so that is probably playing a part in it.

For some reason this thread reminds me of the old "Hey, Grandpa.....what's for supper?" segment on Hee-Haw.

2 inches of rain in the last half hour. I think that qualifies for an update in the turd floater thread.
