I'm sure you didn't realize that before his injury, Raef was one of the league's premier shotblockers. For instance, he blocked over 213 shots in the 2001/2002 season, his first with the Mavericks. That's over TWO TIMES as many blocks as the entire Mavericks TEAM had last year - we couldn't even break a hundred.

Combine shotblocking production like that to the ability to hit three pointers consistently at a near 40% clip and to rebound a respectable 7-8 boards a game, you get a pretty scary player. It's no wonder why he Raef was once considered one of the brightest young centers in the league. Of course, his inuries have limited his effectiveness recently, partly due to the fact that he has a dead man's ligament in his knee.

Pittsnogle is one dimensional. He doesn't defend, or even try to block shots. He's a terrible rebounder. He's a tall white guy who can hit threes, but that's where the similarities end. To compare him to Raef is to prove your own ignorance.
