Hank Blalock option to AAA

Blalock Demoted....


The Rangers optioned Hank Blalock to AAA today to make room on the roster for Chan Ho Park. They will go with Mike Lamb at 3B. The reason I like this move is because Blalock should have spent the first half of the year in AAA anyway developing his stroke against major-league quality pitching. The reason I don't like this move is because Blalock may be mentally damaged by the demotion. I predicted Blalock to be ROY, but obviously that can't happen now. But this move make me wince.
