They can exceed the cap to re-sign their own player, but can also do it as a sign-and-trade. So if they know he wants to leave, they could sign-and-trade him to us for DUST and a future first rounder or two... or we could toss in Terry or Butler if either of them excite the Hawks (unlikely).
