mandyahl...stupidity
They have no one that can guard Dirk, but Harris and Howard are so freaking impatient that they won't let anything to develop to get him the ball.

Are the Knicks just daring Devin and Josh to shoot or what?

RE:New York @ Dallas Gameday Thread
Dirk just rolled to the bucket leaving his man RIGHT in front of Harris and Harris jacks up a three instead of getting him the ball for either the easy slam or at least 2 FT's.
Nellie, yank the leash on this kid.
Dirk will probably end up forcing a shot just because he knows that Harris and Howard aren't going to get them the ball. Dirk forcing shots is better than Harris shooting, but not much better.

Devin Harris needs to find Dirk on that pick and roll and quit shooting off of it. At least get Dirk involved on the play.

Beautiful look by Stack. I thought he was going to dish it back to Dirk for 3 but he drove in and gave it to Hendu.

What's up with NY's fg%? Are we just not guarding or do they just have hot hands right now?

It's truly amazing how many dumb plays some of these players can make on the court at times...I suppose it's just part of the growing process....and I'm sure Harris will grow out of it.

buzzer-beating 3 at the end of the game by Crawford? (that would be kind of arrrgghhhh...)

They've drilled a ton of outside jumpers....most of them relatively uncontested. KThomas hit a couple early outside jumpers...Crawford and Marbury have buried some as well.

Most of that has to do with lack of defensive opportunities because of good shooting by the Knicks and a ton of TO's by NY

No we aren't. The fg% disparity makes it look like we are, but we've only allowed NY one o-board.

RE:New York @ Dallas Gameday Thread
I just can't understand why Nellie won't just throw the ball into Bradley when they play teams like this. If you are going to guard him with an undersized forward then why not make them pay. I think he just doesn't want to slow the game down but it could be symptomatic of something worse. Why play small ball against this team? It only let them stay in the game and gain confidence. Now the Mavs have a fight on their hands.

RE:New York @ Dallas Gameday Thread
NY: 60% from the 3; 60% from the field; 1 of 1 from FT line; +5 on the boards
Dallas: 20% from the 3; 45% from the field; 50% from FT line (4 of 8)
Their 9 TOs are the only reason why we're even close.

RE:New York @ Dallas Gameday Thread
Pinto's an airhead....Dirk's taken 3 shots in the second....two were wide open jumpers and the third was a half hook in the lane where he had created at least a foot and a half separation....yet, all they talk about is dirk's contested shots.

Well, yeah....but, TO's count. Most of them were from defensive pressure...some were from NY idiotic mistakes. But, that's what NY does.

I know that Dirk has 10 shots, but the Mavs don't seem to be running nearly as much of the offense through him tonight....any reasons why?

Is there a bigger tease in NBA than Tim Thomas. The guy has no clue. 6'10 with his skills should make him an all star. The guy is happy to shoot jumpers though and is wildly inconsistent. Has a big contract too...He will be stuck in Knickville for a long time.

Josh is so good when he doesn't look for the long jumper
MD looking much better today
Nice playing by Bradley....would rather see Booth to start the second half and Bradley to finish the game.
Stack fitting in nicely tonight.

Perhaps we should guard Crawford behind the 3pt line.

Defense. Why are they always out of Position.
Always running with their arms in the air. Too late on the shooter.
D someone up.
We need better flow on both sides of the ball.

So let me get this straight...if you're a forward,..no matter what, you don't get the same calls as a guard even when you have the ball out beyond the 3pt arc? Are defenders allowed to do whatever they please to you if you're above 6'7 and beyond the three point line?

68-68 with 9:26 to go in the 4th. Amazing 9 in a row for Seattle. Nice game going on in Miami: Utah leading 70-65 with 8:32 to go.
Go Celtics.

junkyard dog frisked and bumped Nowitzki pretty good, but Harris and Marbury have to keep their hands to their sides. I dont understand that
