There's zero reason to bring Parsons back this season, even if we make the playoffs. Not worth it... reminds me of Dirk's ankle injury back in 2003.

Agree, no sense taking a chance on reinjuring since there will be a decent chance he will be with us again next season. If I'm not mistaken he tried to come back early in the POs last season and screwed up his knee again causing him to have limited minutes for a few months this season.

It would take a miracle for us to get out of the first round even if he was 100% so it doesn't make any sense to compromise part of next season to barely squeak out one win in the POs.

Just unleash JA and see what he has to offer in a bigger role.

Not sure why he said that. He knows deep down he's not risking it. I wouldn't either.

Anderson's minutes should go up. But we know Rick. Villanueva may get the biggest minutes boost.

Lee playing PF with Mejri or McGee.

‏@espn_macmahon: Chandler Parsons underwent successful surgery to address the torn meniscus in his right knee Friday morning. Mavs team physician Dr. Daniel Worrel performed the arthroscopic procedure in Dallas. Parsons will miss the remainder of the season but is expected to be able to go through his normal offseason basketball workout routine.

I'm not looking forward to seeing lots of minutes wit CV at the 4 and either Lee Or Zaza at 5. I'd like to see an offense with Lee at 4 backed up by Powell and Mejri at 5 backed up by McGee. GSW will not bother to shoot threes when Mejri goes to the bench. They will open a race track to the hoop.

Classic shoddy reporting by ESPN, and lack of intelligent questions from any reporters covering this. Did Chandler's meniscus surgery require a repair (stitches) or a trim (just cutting away the torn part). These require very different rehab times, and should have been something the doctors indicated, or at the very least something they were asked. One can start returning to jogging on the trim in a few weeks. The repair is 10 weeks, to give the repaired area time to heal (not much blood flow there, so takes a long time to heal).

Haven't seen anything either. If they're talking about a return this season, he just got the tear cut out. If they're talking 3 months, he had a repair. The latter would be the best case for Parson's as he is already having cartilage issues (i.e. the surgery last year).

I had a tear cut out and was back to light jogging in 2 weeks, playing in 3. It can be done, but with his history, and upcoming possibly opt-out, I doubt we see Parson's again this season.
