Default GDT: Knicks @ Mavs 3/30/16 - 7:30 Central

Knicks-Mavericks Preview

A lineup change delivered the spark the Dallas Mavericks have desperately needed. A matchup with the struggling New York Knicks could help them sustain it.

"I felt, right now, we've got to make the point that anything other than your best effort and your best energy is unacceptable," Carlisle said. "We still need everybody, each game is critical."

Perhaps more encouraging was the Mavericks' work on the defensive end. After allowing the Kings to shoot 62.2 percent in Sunday's rout, Dallas forced 21 turnovers that led to 29 points while committing just four giveaways.

"We played some amazing basketball defensively," guard Raymond Felton said. "The way we took care of the ball and the way we defended, we gave ourselves a good chance to fight for this (playoff) spot."

Yadayada

What they're all thinking is, "imagine how big the spark will be with our shot-blocking monster at center!"

Gonna remind Rayray and the Knicks of that again!

Mavs 95
Knicks 83

McGee with two blocks and a flagrant on Felton to set the tone.

Blazers 39-36
Jazz 37-37
Rockets 37-38
Mavs 36-38

Doesn't look like the mavs will catch up to the Portland Blazers so we're battling to get destroyed by the Spurs or Warriors. Anyways this is a must win game.

Well we did push the Spurs last year or was that the year before?? Also we are due vs GS for the time they beat the Mavs as an 8th seed. I mean it's gotta happen at some point.

Houston got us last year and Spurs the year before.
Hard to believe the Spurs were only a 6 seed last year.

Mavs get in IF: Split the remaining games BUT must beat jazz/rockets. Or at the least beat the team thats 8th seed.

Thats a gigantic if.

Dirk will take Dirk-Wannabe-Porkyngis to elementary school... the Simba-Powell tandem will continue to amaze by stopping Melo The Mellow's offense... the Mavs' depleted but dynamic bench players will have a scoring field day with the Nic benchwarmers... all in all, the Nic will perform uglier than Nic in any of his movies....

Mavs - 108
Nic - 94

So Cubes said Parsons technically isn't done for the season. That should help for Anderson to stay focused on earning more minutes.

Dirk's on the board. Let's get him a few shots in rhythm before he hits the bench.

I don't see any reason for him to hurry back and possibly re-injure himself just so we can MAYBE make the playoff and get swept by the Warriors or Spurs in the 1st round.

All I know is Parsons isn't technically done for the season. While Carlisle can implement more Anderson.

Looked like Rick pulled JA for getting scored on by Melo a couple straight possessions at the beginning of the third. I hope he goes back to JA soon. Sometimes, I think you just have to give credit to good player making shots.

Losing at home to an already eliminated Kurt Rambis-coached team might be a new low, even for this team. They seem determined to making it happen though.

Yes, it's pretty awful. Dirk is almost costing us the game.

The team also need Williams badly.

A bit disappointed that Mejri hasn't played, Powell has had a rough night.

Houston came from behind to win in Cleveland. Utah is leading against GSW. We are down against The Knicks...

+ I want to see Matthews put up some numbers!
