Default Dorian Finney-Smith appreciation thread

Seems like a good dude, worked hard and outperformed his expectations. Good look in Brooklyn.

Should fit nice in Brooklyn. Did everything the right way. Homegrown success story.

Great dude. Solid player. I'll miss him as a person and empathize about the fact thatxhe wantwd to be here.

Imo. He would still be here if he developed more as an offensive threat Ala Jerami Grant. He had been attacking the paint with an aggressive drive more the last handful of games, but all season he has been a step slow and waiting for offense to come to him, while not being great defensively.

All that said, he was solid still and I feel for him. I hope he reaches that next level wherever he ultimately ends up!

Love Dodo. Mavs picked him up as an undrafted guy a la Marquis Daniels, but unlike Daniels, he continued to grow year after year.

He's still a liability at 6'7" with a natural position of PF, but he's just a hardworking dude doing it the right way. I'm glad we could develop him into an asset that was worth a FRP and that we could see him grow and pay him.

Gonna be sad to see him in another jersey

Love DFS, and agree he is one of the Mavs all time success stories. Undrafted player to a starter in a playoff team. Seemed to be well liked by coaches and teammates. Good dude off the court. Wish him nothing but the best for his career, and hope he finds his way back to Dallas.

Underrated lately around here, but I don't think with any ill intent. The guy is a Mav for life and did everything the right way. He and Luka were fairly close so I hope the business side of it all works out.

Best of luck DoDo

Early on, he drove me nuts with his poor shooting but man did he grow on me and became on my faves in the league. With the Nets adding Bridges and Cam Johnson, maybe Mavs can trade to get him back. Mavs really need to get a defensive minded forward to replace him in off season.
