Those dang democrats just voted to shred the constitituion
So funny...so for years now, the dems have been talking about how the fisa laws were shredding the constitution, rolling back all of or liberties, bringing on a police state, the greatest threat since global warming and then..
Oh shucks...better pass it.
It's quite funny actually to hear the democrat constituencies spinning so hard.
Now they are going to stick their feet in the ground and say "well we're not going to let the big bad telecoms off the hook" so that they can spin it even harder.
Quite hilarious.

Look at the last 7 years and you will see who has shredded the constitution. No spin on the last 7 years.

Good Grief...now the liberals have become skin-heads. By the way chum...this is why liberals who believe in a strong national defense ran from the democrat party.

Why sure, there's been plenty, (I haven't seen much from yourself I must admit) but there's also a lot of smack-talking also.

I dunno, it seems when I randomly browse around here that either people don't even bother replying or when they do, it just becomes a bunch of meaningless tit for tat.
And yeah sorry, I'm not going to even try to attempt logical conversation with stuff like this.
You guys have fun though...

How can we discuss anything "worthwhile" in the Political Arena when people are too busy reposting propaganda???
(it certainly would be refreshing to read some ORIGINAL political opinions around here as opposed to this constant partisan circle-jerk...)

Thank you! It's both sides too! I don't give a f if you are republican or democrat to be frank. I am neither. I classify myself as social libertarian.
Just have a real opinion about something instead of playing this school yard crap that noone cares about.

How many people are going to vote for Obama the second time around when we can all see that the military machine is still going in Iraq (like he has said it would if you listen carefully on the rare occasions when he actually talks content)?
It is somewhat hard to post real content in this election. Obama goes out of his way to avoid discussing real content. He is just all about the "change".

True, we have:
1) Other peoples' opinions (articles)
2) A bunch of junk-talking from people who understand nothing about an issue outside the perspective of the author of the article they just posted...

Put me down in the "junk talking" category!
But still...you could ask Janett where babies come from, what she had for dinner last night, or if she likes ice cream and the answer would contain the words "Cheney," "Rumsfeld," and "neocon."

ok....
a) Democracy is over-rated;
b) Politicians : television evangalists --> professional basketball players : fat 30 something church-league white guys....that is, mediocre con-artists take to preaching on tv while extremely skilled con-artists gravitate to politics.
c) War is the health of the state.
d) The mainstream media has neither a conservative nor a liberal bias, but rather a power bias, to wit, it is a propaganda organ for the proverbial powers that be.

I'm not pointing fingers at the Left or the Right, I'm just talking about the general attitude of posters in this forum... Everybody talks, nobody listens, and there's lots of name-calling - for some reason this is acceptable in the Political Arena, but we typically call this behavior "trolling" in the General Mavs Forum...
It would just be nice to have a "discussion" around here, rather than being subjected to "lectures" constantly...

But have you ever had a Haagen Dazs Rumsfeld Raisin icecream with a Cheney on top? To die for.
(Obviously, I too belong in Underdog's 2nd category )

Given the general response to my posts in this forum (negative rep from both the Left & the Right), you can understand my lack of motivation to share new ideas with you guys...

a) You hate America
b) Agreed, but we HAVE to vote for those guys
c) No, it's those damn neocons!
d) No, it's those damn liberals!

Look at this way, if both sides are giving you grief then there's not doubt you're right on target. Good job Underdog!

This is why you never talk Religion or Politics with Friend OR Enemies.
Just remember that opinions are like A-holes: everyone has one, and they all stink at times.
