As far as anyone who thinks we should be up 3-2 or something, I'm sure spurs think if they wouldve controlled their fouling in game 1 they should be done by now. Shoulda woulda coulda, it is what it is....
Tempo will be real slooooowwww in game 6, I think they're baiting us into thinking the other four are gonna get open shots by doubling. Not saying caron wont be hot, just saying no one's gonna leave him to double.

I really want someone, besides Dirk to take on the scoring load for the Mavs in game 6. Dirk can go off in game 7 to win. He is that kind of player, but don't expect it back to back games.

Maybe Terry or Marion can go off in game 6.

Let's face it though, officiating make all the difference in what they can and cannot do.

Caron Butler saw a path to the basket and didn't care that Tim Duncan was in his way. Butler drove right at San Antonio's big guy and tried jumping by him for a dunk. Duncan got a piece of the ball -- but it caromed off the backboard and into the net anyway. It was that kind of night for Butler and the Dallas Mavericks.
Or the time where this occurred and haywood was there to clean it up and get a possible and1. It almost makes you wonder if the mavs watch the same nba game as everyone else does. You DO NOT WIN IN THE NBA WITHOUT DRIVING THE BASKETBALL. You just do not and will not.

In a sport where the referees decide most games, you just cannot allow them to not give you points.

Which superstar shines, will determine the winner of Game 6, Dirk or Timmy.

What superstar gets the most help + who attacks the rim / aggressiveness+ effort+ referee calls = win

You can't drive to the rim when you get 2-3 offensive fouls called on you -- or you can't play defense.

Let TD get 2 fouls called on him in the first few minutes of game 6 sitting him down for most of the first half, and see how fast Dallas gets going to the rim all game long.

I really hope Joey Crawford is reffing game 6 - he doesn't seem to like the whining Spurs much. Like it or not Tim Donaghy much like Jose Canseco is proving to be more honest in what they said, than they ever were with the integrity of the game. It would only be fair since they shafted Dallas with Danny Crawford a Spurs win ago.

It is going to be a physical game on Thursday, and if we slow down the way SA wants us to then we are sunk... For an old team, like we are, we need to run to be successful and running comes from defense and aggressive play, like last night.

Play the Mavs game in SA and we win. play their game in SA and we lose. Regardless of which superstar shines that night.

Caron's got to keep attacking the paint, time and time again. don't settle for the pull up jumpers, make the refs call something when you attack the cup. Be tougher than they are, which isn't saying much about Eva and flopper.

Butler played like an animal. I doubt he can do it two games in a row. Spurs were soft defensively. I expect that to change for game 6. One things for certain, Dirk needs all the help he can get. I can guarantee you won't see much action from the likes of Bogans, Mason, and Ian.

Game 6 it´s Game 7 for both teams.

If Spurs lost, Mavs will take the 7th Game without even sweat.

Haywood. That's who can go off and really help us on offense. Think about how many dunk and layup opportunities he missed last night. If he can keep up his level of activity, and get the ball in the hole when he gets to the rim, he can really make a difference. And he gets a lot of foul calls in the process. If he can even shoot 50% on FTs, that's gravy.

BTW, yes, Butler went off last night, but I thought Haywood was the key to the win in that his dominance around the goal changed the whole flow of the game.

Pretty sure we don't want Joey Crawford, anti-Spurs bias or no anti-Spurs bias. He's shown often enough that he's getting a little senile, and I'm not convinced he doesn't hate the Mavs just as much as he hates the Spurs.

Joey crawford will be a ref in game 6. That's for sure. Nothing is official til 9AM, but its close to a sure thing.

You understand that the Spurs gave up game 5 early no? Do you expect the big three to play totally unispired limited minutes and our scrubs (Mason and 3rd options) get extensive minutes? I expect a tough fight and I respect the Mavs (at least Dirk is a class act) but if two of the big three step up it's game over. Also, how can you say if it wasnt for Hill being lucky in one game...? Hill played great all season and is our 4th best player, every Spurs fan knows that. Not so much for his O but for his solid D. On the other hand, Jefferson, Mason, Bogans and Bonner do suck and they are the reason we were 7th seeds. Maybe we are stuck with Jefferson at sf but the other scrubs should be gone this summer. Good luck tonight and may the best team win.

It's pretty awesome when someone has 4 red boxes on only 3 posts. Great ratio.

yea with all the attention on Manu and TP driving through the lanes attracting the attention of 2-3 defenders, Hill just set up shop on the stripe and hit jumper after jumper.

Haywood is very important for us and it is so true, will Butler or someone drive the ball tonight? Hopefully so as this is the key to winning in the playoffs. Look at Gino when he stands still and he decides he wants to be a Jason Terry. 2 for , 4 turn overs, not many rebounds or ast. Mason trying to be Finley or Terry at 1 for 6. Stand still and bomb. Please San Antonio, do not listen to Pop and try to beat us bombing away. Maybe it was the defense on Gino also but the game was over when Gino was a non factor and became a Finley.

No matter if we win or lose tonight and it should be one hard fought battle on both ends, i will be happy if our team drives the ball in the paint and kicks out or drives and tries to score at the rim. That is winning basketball. I will also be happy if we say no to Gino and Parker and even if Duncan scores 60 but he won't if you can control Gino and Parker. San Antonio is an average team if you keep Parker and Gino from racing down the lane. They open everyone up.

Watch tonight who shoots more ft's and who scores more in the painted area. They go together. If we ever get up by 10 or so before halftime, we can not let up or change to bombing all together. They tighten up on D big time the second half, the Spurs or Pop will sit you on the bench. Just maybe we can win one in San Antonio and i will be rooting just for that.

I understand that they got their assess kicked early. That much is for sure. Any spurs fan having bowen on their team talking about "class" is laughable. He should have been kicked out of the league years ago.

Can the mods delete this thread or change the title? Cause the last time pimptaddy started a thread declaring someone was done, it didn't turn out to be too accurate. Don't want history to repeat itself.

I said Dirk had class. What's that got to do with having Bowen play for the Spurs?

Now you understand my previous post after game 5 right? How many minutes did Mason get in game 6? What happened when the Spurs played to win?
