RE: Rose Bowl
I'm nervous about this one. Cedric and Vince talking smack about the Michigan defensive line.... great. Reminds me of the OU game when Cedric said he would rather have the Heisman than a win over Oklahoma.
But, if they back it up I will be the loudest cheering.

1 pt lead with 4 min to go. We now need the defense to step up.

What a nice game, someone won it versus someone losing it.

RE: Rose Bowl
This was a great game and I'd have said the same thing as Texas lost. I'd love to see Braylon Edwards in silver and blue next season. Unfortunately, at this point we'd probably have to trade up to get him.
Vinc was spectacular and vaulted himself into next years Heismen race with this performance.
Big win for Texas and big win for the Big XII

RE: Rose Bowl
I'm not sure about that...you don't see too many 6'5 running backs...that being said, there's not a better open field runner in college

Vince escapes another helpless Michigan defender in route to his 4th touchdown.

He'll be drafted as a QB I'm sure, but WR is probably his future.

RE:Rose Bowl
he will be a WR in the NFL...he doesn't have the arm for the NFL...he'll probably end up playing the same role that Hines Ward does. Hines started at three different positions while he was at Georgia (QB, WR, RB), and Pittsburgh utilizies those skills pretty well.

RE: Rose Bowl
He seems to have a strong enough arm, but a really strange throwing motion.

RE:Rose Bowl
Let's not forget that Vince is a sophomore in his 1st full season as a starter. He already has a strong enough arm to make any throw in the game, and he has two seasons/off seasons to work on his accuracy. He has a career passer rating of about 130 and his stats after two seasons compare favorably to Mike Vicks. The difference is that Vick had 20 TD's and 11 int's whereas Vince has 16 of each. If he can cut down on his picks, he can play QB in the league since he's every bit the running threat that Vick is.
I'd like to see him throw overhand more, but he's 6'5 so his release is still pretty high.

I've never been the biggest Vince Young fan & I admit that I didn't have enough faith in this team to know they would pull this off & for this, I am very sorry. What a game. Seriously, what a game.

RE:Rose Bowl
I was absolutely thrilled that UT could pull the win out. Vince is a redshirt sophomore meaning he really is a junior. He doesn't need to play at UT for another 2 years and I think he said this year he wanted to go pro after next season. I really believe that with his talent he might be a perennial all-pro wide receiver; however, he might have a chance at QB if he gets a coach like Wade Wilson who can straighten out those mechanics. That really is all that is wrong with his arm. Honestly, I think if he wants to be a QB in the NFL he needs to leave UT as soon as possible.
