I was completely wrong on Green. Although he might never be the scorer that the incredibly short armed Bane is, his all around game, hustle and toughness just might be the right type of player to grow next to Luka over the next 3 to 5 years. You could see Green growing into a key cog in a future championship team that is retooled around a Luka/Green young core. The next step in Green's growth is to have the confidence to take the mid range floater in the lane instead of the panic toss out back to half court.

Yeah Green has the athleticism to be a difference maker. He covers up defensive lapses, makes great drives, and mostly makes smart passes. It would take a lot for me to trade him .

Let's slow down a bit. Shawn Marion was a 20 ppg All-Star and a lockdown defender, Green looks great on D but is still averaging 7.7 ppg for the season. We'll be lucky if he turns into a poor man's Marion. But I do like what I'm seeing.

Nailed it. And while in comparison from the past, THJ is supposed to be our JET, but he aint even close. You knew what you were getting from JET each time out.

Man, this just reminds me of how good that 2011 team was. In 2011, our great players were usually great and our good players were usually good. However, with this 2023 Mavs team, our great player is usually great and our good/decent players are typically not that good.

I think SD is our JET.

THJ is our Caron Butler

But unlike Caron, we are better without THJ
