Hey guys,

Great forum. Glad I found it. I am so pumped for the Mavs right now that I find myself reading everything I can get my hands on on the Mavs.

This may be a dream, but it just might be possible that Mavs will end up to be #1 in the West IF (big IF) they continue to stay healthy and play like this. At the very least, #4 is a strong possibility.

What do you all think?

It's definitely a possibility being only 4 games back for the top spot but I don't think it's gonna happen. It's going to be tough with the schedule we have coming up. The rest of the schedule, which includes a 5 game road trip(Lakers, Jazz, Blazers, Kings, Rockets). is pretty brutal. Atlanta, Golden State, and Seattle are the only under .500 teams we've got left. So it's going to be really tough, even with way we've been playing.

btw, Welcome to the board Mavs Madness .

The records of the other teams in the west are deceptive. They are inflated due to a lack of games against the Mavs so far in the season... We won't see the real order of the teams until the west elite go through the nightmare portion of their schedule as the Mavs steamroll through them in the last 17 games of the season...

The West Conference is too tough for and newcomer to go straight through the playoffs the first time,
But i am betting the guys on the mavericks wouldnt have it any other way.
We have guys on our team i wouldnt even want to play checkers with.
I say we go to the conference finals, lose, and have Don Nelson give us a Bum Phillips speech about kicking the door in or something,
It Would Sell More Tickets
Mark Cuban on Fox news tonight at midnight i think. speaking of selling tickets and making money

Need to watch this show cause Cuban will tell when he sold his yahoo stock,
I was worried about that or wondering if he was shorting yahoo,
From the sounds of it he sold some time ago,
Hicks got completely out of the Nasdaq last spring.
This will be worthwhile info

I think he lied about when he sold his yahoo. First he said july 2000.
then he said oct 99, yahoo was 125 in july 2000. and 225 in oct 99.
He kept his big bucks.
Strikes me as someone who is shorting the market though.

Just wondering, did he sell ALL his shares? I asked my prof this question since she works at Yahoo here in Dallas but she didn't know. And I'm not so sure this would be an appropriate question to ask him when he comes to our class
