PGT: the three Amigos finally win in 2 OT
Dirk and Matthews were amazingly clutch. Deron finished with the game. Three clutch performances in one game.
Inability to rebound and defend killed us. No defensive communication, lots of blaming. No one getting the open guy.
Really looking forward to the day we don't need three amazing performances to win a game, but for now this will do.

Clutch move what Deron did! He's close to redeeming himself into all star caliber. Got another game coming up quick.

I'm wondering whats up with RC and Parsons? Ok, he won't play Parsons to close out games. But why not to play him the first 2-3 minutes of each overtime? I was surprised JJ came in for Felton. Sacramento didn't play that small and with fresh legs Parsons should've been able to keep up with others.
It really does look like that some people on this board aren't the only ones having doubts about Parsons.

He injured his hip with with collision with Cousins, Tmac tweeted he was out rest of game well before OT.

Dirk calling for the ball then drilling that pull up 3 in transition.

My favorite part!
Pissed ref didn't call the push on the rebound right before, ref said "That's enough Dirk" he starts calling for it at midcourt... drains a 3, turns and barked something else at the ref. Hopefully something like "I'll make your job easier"

Well, than was more dramatic than it needed to be... Glad we got the W though.

Powell no minutes? No way he could spell Dirk for a few?

We might see a lot of Powell-McGee together tomorrow. Hard to imagine Mavs can pull off a win against NOP with b2b heavy minutes and Parsons out. I was actually more surprised that CV didn't get any playing time, especially when Dirk couldn't hit anything, and not so much about Powell.

Carlisle said he was going to shake things up with the rotations. McGee for Powell and no Charlie V.

We need a three-headed squirrel with six giant testicles with the faces of Matthews, Dirk, and Williams. Anyone up to the task?

I'm not a big "____ didn't play, why is Coach such an idiot" kind of guy, but I really don't understand why Powell isn't getting 15-20mpg... quality win though.

Those two clutch 3's by Dirk and Deron - awesome! That's why they are (former) All-Stars. I mean both guys had a pretty bad start into the game (Dirk missed a lot of shots while Deron had a few unnecessary TO's) but they showed up when it mattered. For Sacramento, that really was a heartbreaking loss. When you're up by 7 with 1:20 to go you shouldn't loose that game. But I don't mind
I really liked McGee's performance as well. What a highlight show that was! His dunks look even better than Wright's dunks and he's a terrific shot blocker.
The bad side of all this is that the Mavs will probably lose agains NOP. All starters except Parsons played more than 40 mins. They'll be exhausted. We need the bench to show up this time.

Zaza was living rent free in Cousins head all night. Cousins still had an offensive night but 10 TO and I seen him taking uncharacteristic shots or rushing because he was so frustrated.

I'm wondering if RC plans to give the bulk of PF minutes to Powell and CV tonight. Powell will do better against Davis than he would have against Cousins.
Can't think of anything Powell has done to justify a DNP but leave it to Rick to place blame on the youth.
Loved the game from Dirk at the end but he was really slacking earlier in the game on D and no aggression on rebounding.

Maybe Dirk gets the night off and Powell and Charlie V get big minutes tonight.

I think Carlisle knows what Powell can do, so now he wants to develop McGee into a useful part. We need a serviceable big who is actually big and strong. I love Powell, but he is like a ragdoll against the likes of Cousins, Howard etc.
McGee has a lot of skills. I would love to see him develop into the kind of guy we can't keep off the floor. That can't happen if he's always on the bench. The more he plays now, the better the Mavs can be later. I hope.

I generally agree with that statement, but Powell bodied up against Davis pretty well last night. I guess Davis is still considered more of PF though at this point. However, other than Cousins and Howard, what true centers in the league do we really worry about?
Miami/Whiteside - still unproven even with a good game against us
Memphis/Gasol - for whatever reason never puts up big numbers and team seems to be on the decline
Detroit/Drummond - this could be legit now that they have SVG coaching him
