Mavs lose 109-106 when Dwill, Dirk, and last Parsons couldn't make the final 3 pointer after 3 attempts. Good think from this game is that Mejri deserves more minutes than ZAZA. Zaza is good but play ZERO DEFENSE.

God I wish Mavs would just stop being knuckleheads for half the game every game.

Wow. Dirk had a great look and Parsons had a very nice attempt off what was not the easiest shot. So close. On a positive note, I'm noticing a more and more aggressive Mav team lately. I just wish they could keep their motors going for 48 minutes.

I imagine he's finally starting to get his legs under him, but yes his shot does seem to have more arc.

Oh by the way I think Mavs lost a chance to tie it up mainly because of Matthews. He held most of the possesion(like 15 seconds) just standing and waiting or Dwill to get the ball.

GTFO. Zaza has been our most consistent player all year.

Consistent yes but defense no. I'd take MEJRI or MCGEE for defense.

I'll be super pissed at Rick Carlisle if he DNP-CD Mejri next game. The man deserves minutes.

The difference between good and bad teams is that good teams win close games.

We need to trade JJ Barea soon and improve the bench by the trade deadline. Barea ball needs to end!

My comp for Salah is Rudy Gobert. He has elite length and good defensive instincts. He's a legit NBA player and has a chance to be pretty good.

Bummer. But not completely surprised. Mavs are what they are. A decent team who cannot beat the top dawgs, but can hang with them for the most part.
However, they most definitely matchup with the thunder better than Spurs or Warriors. Fingers crossed we get the 6 seed, but I still hold the belief we're getting the 7 seed.

Yeah, I agree with you....5th or 6th should be our realistic goal.

This is insane considering how well Zaza has been playing. In fact I see it a completely different way. When the season started I thought Center was by far our weakest position but now it is our strongest mostly because of Zaza but now we also have the M&M (McGee & Mejri) factor which gives Rick an option on the defensive end.
This is a damn good situation and hopefully Rick will find a way to make it work to our advantage. M&M's biggest role right now should be to keep Zaza fresh for the POs.

Great comparison and I was going to post the same thing this morning but you beat me to it.
Hope Mejri can be consistent and that Rick decides to play him against teams other than OKC as well.

I'm thinking Mejri should take some of Powell's minutes. Second time he produced well.

Well Mejri's presence pretty much turned the game around when down 15 points. That has to at the very least get him SOMETHING.
There are actually more positive from this game than negatives despite the loss.
1. Dirk was actually playing after a knee swelling scare. I hope that swelling keeps going down.
2. Chandler Parsons played better than Kevin Durant.
3. The center position is the deepest and most solid...who woulda thought that before the season started? McGee with another solid game.
The only thing that really worries me about this team and has all season is Wes's offense. He just can't seem to get anything going momentum-wise and seems to force shots.

Its the giant elephant in the room no one wants to address because he's so well liked and he busts his ass out there. But his shot needs some work. His shooting motion I like, its a quick release. But the form is kind of loose. So his shots are missing, even though its not off by much most of the time.
EDIT: And I really hope twitter isnt the only place for Mavs talk in the future
