I've always viewed the MVP as a mix between best player and who is most valuable to their team's success.

Houston without Harden would absolutely be considerably worse. However, imagine this Cavs team without LeBron. Yikes.

Houston's rise to #1 overall seed while overtaking the Warriors can't be slept on too much.
