Default How can we get rid of Bertrans/Powell and thj

These 3 need to go. Powell is expiring so easy. other 2 gonna be tough but gotta clear space for future - maybe throw in a pick as well. Who was the crazy team pay Bertrans 17 million???? Spurs???

No way should the Mavs give up any more picks just to clear salary. 1st round picks are really, really important. Not getting anything out of the draft is the worst indictment of the Mavs' management over the past 20 years or so. So if we give up more picks, it better be for something damn good. Not just for yet another chance to chase a free agent who will use the Mavs as leverage to get a better deal somewhere else.

I'm betting you'll see one of those three moved, at best. Powell is the obvious easy choice, not only with the expiring, but his PNR services aka his only plus part of his game, is now replaced with McGee and to a lesser extent, Wood.

Nico has something brewing. It's not even been 24 hours and this FA period is nutty. Some of the dust has to settle and see how rosters shake out, but there's deals to be had.

Not sure this would be where you unload any of the three, but I'd be discussing Curry and Harris with the Nets to add shooting depth. Markannen in Cleveland could make sense, too. Pacers are still there and Brogdon has been discussed at length here.

I?d rather run it back with THJ and rehab his value. He?s a floor spacer and can get hot and we just lost Jalen. If the deal is to dump him just to save Cuban more $ want no part of it. Not sure we can get equal value back for him or they would have by now.

Powell is expiring and could actually be serviceable as a 3rd big for some team, so I?d bet on him being moved. If not, we can use him for spot duty and trade him at the deadline.

100% agree. And both THJ and Bertans will actually become assets when those contracts are in their final year. No sense in giving away picks or something just to move them. Just hold onto them for another year and we'll eventually get something good for them.
