It seems like (recently) that every game against the Nuggets is an ugly, hard fought game. The Nuggets won last night, and hopefully they are tired. Sometimes, however, teams tend to put out their best effort when they have a lot of factors against them. I hope Dallas doesn't play down to their level...

Denver's young, plays hard and the mavs always take them for granted. Unfortuantely it will be a hard-fought battle with dallas pulling away in the 4th. 99-92. No chalupas for me tonight. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img]
A caveat to that is if the long-range shooting session friday wakes up the 3pt shooting. In that case they blow them out early.

Any guesses to the Mavs starting lineup?
I bet its Nash, Delk, Fin, Walker and Dirk. Bradley and Fortson start on the bench because of the Camby matchup. Delk guards Voshon Lenard. Nellie puts Fin on Carmelo. I think he might try Delk on Carmelo as well. Dirk on Marcus Camby.

Can Best handle Boykins at all? I read on Dallasbasketball.com someone saw Best in person and he is TINY. Is he tiny enough though?

There is nothing wrong with criticizing a team if your points are valid. But most of the armchair coaches on this board talk pseudo-basketball-ese and make results oriented comments as if they actually have an understanding of the game at the pro level. Most of the comments are based on disappointment from unrealistic expectations or the most ludicrous notion that you sitting in your barc-o-lounger knows more about how to win basketball games than Nelson. It's a matter of whether the team takes this game seriously or not. Denver isn't a "threat" by any means, but they have enough talent to take you by surprise and pull out a win. I think coming off of a good win, and being in front of a grateful home court, the Dallas offense will show up and they'll be aggressive.

with as good of an offensive rebounding team as the Nuggets are, it makes absolutely no sense to put Najera into the stating lineup
He's one of the most abysmal defensive rebounders as far as PF's go in the history of the game. |
