RE: Good News....about the Mavs
They are our team... and we support them through thick and thin.
They are a bunch of good guys.
We have a post-season coming up.
"If" things don't work out this year... we still have Cuban to fix our woes.

If you arent a Mavs fan you can move quick to become a Grizz fan. If you squint hard enough Pau looks like Dirk and J-Wil looks like Stevie Wonder.

Laughed out loud on that one!
In response to the question...because of the Mavs we have d-m.com, and we'll all be a family no matter how much the Mavs suck (a dysfunctional family, but a family nonetheless).

Better news. He won't bring his full ability here unless he's free to make some big decisions and lead the players.

This year's Mavs will defeat the asterisk, accidental-champ spurs in an embarrassing 4-1 first round playoff series...

Atleast now they will be forced to look for defensive players and a defensive coach. How can you let opp shooting % be greater than 50% and expect to win consistiently

RE: Good News....about the Mavs
Our first round foes will not take this "defenseless" team seriously, and that will help facilitate their laceration by the offensive potency and rebounding dominance of this searching Mavs squad.
Give Bradley decent minutes with the starters, and Antoine minutes as the focal point of our reserve unit (while still starting him for show), and this is a completely different Mavs team. One that I believe could go a lot further in these playoffs than most folks would ever imagine...

Then give Walker the majority of his PT to play alongside a bench core of Jamison, Best, Howard, Najera, etc...
If we let Antoine play the majority of his minutes alongside our secondary players, Walker could dominate the ball (as he has been accustomed to do throughout his career) against second-string players, and I imagine that he would absolutely flourish while doing so. This would allow Nelson to play more defensively adept support players (Bradley, Howard, Najera, etc...) alongside the Big Three more consistently, and this would probably do more than a little bit to cover for some of the currently obvious and glaring defensive deficiencies of our Big Three.
This move could create some frighteningly good, Antoine-driven bench play, and at the very least, a moderate improvement in our team's overall defensive production. Considering how strong our rebounding and scoring has been all year long, I can only imagine that an earlier, slight massaging of our rotation in this way would have led to more than a few more Mavs wins this season, and a commensurately lower number of the frustrating and baffling, "defenseless" losses to hot-shooting bottom feeder teams that have pockmarked our last month of play...
Walker would almost certainly be happy with this role as well, principally because he would still be starting, and his production would still be as good or better than it currently is. I know Nelson dreamed about Antoine developing into a playmaking "point-forward" to ease Nash's playmaking duties and to compliment Dirk, but I honestly think that has not been the most logical use of the former all-star's abilities. Let the Employee feast on scubs, and play alongside guys who aren't the most offensively adept of our players so he can be a passionately rebounding, playmaking, "volume shooter" again and actually benefit our team in doing so.
Again, I strongly believe that if this season Nelson had let Antoine start, but played him prinicipally alongside our reserves, and had brought Bradley out of his doghouse to play him for meaningful minutes alongside the Big Three, our record and our playoff prospects wouldn't only look better, but would actually look pretty darned good right now...

RE: Good News....about the Mavs
i agree completely. if we are going to have him on this team, he needs to play with a group that would allow him to dominate the ball. i don't mind him taking shots from the najeras and fortsons (as long as they aren't threes).
