UD, I think your settings for D/ST are just a tad skewed.

How? The teams are still ranked in the same order...
It only adds 1-3 points per game (gives punt/kick returns some value without taking anything away from the defense...)

I think I still like my D-M draft best, but I'm certainly not disappointed with my other teams...
Spygate Freakout:
QB: Kevin Kolb, Matt Ryan
RB: DeAngelo Williams, Jamaal Charles, Pierre Thomas, Leon Washington, Bernard Scott
WR: Randy Moss, (Vincent Jackson), Hakeem Nicks, Donald Driver, Legedu Naanee
TE: Visanthe Schiancoe
D/ST: New Orleans Saints
K: David Buehler
Hardcore Will Never Die:
QB: Tony Romo, Matthew Stafford
RB: Beanie Wells, Pierre Thomas, C.J. Spiller, Cadillac Williams, Chester Taylor
WR: Brandon Marshall, Marques Colston, Pierre Garcon, Dez Bryant, Laurent Robinson
TE: Brent Celek
D/ST: Green Bay Packers
D-M (for comparison):
QB: Joe Flacco
RB: Ray Rice, Matt Forte, Arian Foster, Michael Bush, Tim Hightower
WR: Randy Moss, Calvin Johnson, Hakeem Nicks, Devin Aromashodu, Legedu Naanee
TE: Zach Miller
D/ST: Chicago Bears
K: David Buehler

Something seems off. When I look at 2009 scoring, the Vikings apparently scored 430.9 that season.

Yeah, I see your problem:
Kickoff Return Yards (KR) 0.2
Punt Return Yards (PR) 0.1
So if a team were to get 1000 kickoff return yards, that would be good for 200 points for the season. Toss in another 500 punt return yards for 50 more points, and you are looking at about 250 points scored by D/ST before you've even bothered to calculate defensive stats.
I think you just forgot to make it per 10 yards like you had in the original poll.

Multiple Scorgasms (Auction)
QB Eli Manning (good bang for the buck)
RB Ryan Matthews (I think he's going to be legit)
RB Arian Foster (undervalued in a high power offense)
WR Calvin Johnson
WR Greg Jennings
WR Anquan Boldin
TE Owen Daniels (see Arian Foster)
Flex Jonathan Stewart (could be seen as a #2 RB)
DST Bengals
B Jacoby Jones (solid upside and helpful for return points)
B Dexter McCluster (seriously, do you see how they use the kid??)
B Jordan Shipley (PPR beast if used right)
B Correll Buckhalter (in a committee system in Denver)
B Derek Anderson (you screwed me UD! I wanted Stafford)
I think I have the best 3-man WR group out of the bunch. It looks like I've set myself up to die if people get hurt, but that's the way you gotta roll with it.

Housh to Ravens...
My Flacco pick is looking damn good now - there's no way they'll be a run-first team with Boldin/Housh/Mason out there...
Cowboys/Ravens Super Bowl, anyone?

Someone tell me the scoop on Shonn Greene. He fell to me at #20 last night, so I drafted him even I don't know a thing about him (except that he starts for the Jets). Why was he rated so high?

New York media bias?
Greene hasn't proven a thing yet - I have no idea why he's rated so high...

His high rating is due to the him finishing last season on a tear, running behind an awesome line, and having Mark Sanchez as his quarterback. Since most rankings are for standard scoring leagues, those factors could lead to a pretty nice season in one of those leagues.
The problem with Greene is that he has a grand total of 1 catch for 4 yards in all of his regular season and postseason games combined. So you aren't exactly looking at a PPR stud. Pretty much every point he scores for you is going to be on the ground.

Um, are you sure you're not confusing him with Jamaal Charles or Jerome Harrison?
Greene only had 2 TD's all of last season and they both came in Week 7 against Oakland. That was also his only game with over 100 yards rushing. He did have 95 yards in Week 16, but 62 yards was his next-most, despite having 5 games with over 10 carries. He even had a game with -1 yard on 3 carries in Week 11.
For comparison, Felix Jones also had 5 games with 10 touches or more. He never eclipsed 100 yards, but he did break 90 yards 3 times and managed 3 TD's with basically the same opportunities as Greene (and not nearly the o-line). Yet, Greene is ranked a LOT higher than Felix, despite the fact that LT is going to be getting a majority of the goal-line touches... Oh, and Greene is just as injury-prone as Felix too.
And before you start talking about the fact that he was Thomas Jones' backup, I should mention that 3rd-stringer, Tashard Choice, finished with more fantasy points (and TD's) last season...
New York media bias.

Here's what I ended up with in my money league. Advice appreciated.
QB - Flacco/Stafford
RB - Chris Johnson/Shonn Greene/Jamaal Charles/Arian Foster/Donald Brown/Tomlinson
WR - Miles Austin/Crabtree/Dez Bryant/Jacoby Jones/Bernard Berrian
TE - Zach Miller
Ten-team league, two RB's and WR's, one W/R flex, .5 PPR.

I wouldn't necessarily say you're screwed - Greene should turn out to be a pretty good back this season, maybe even top-20.
I just think he's overrated, that's all. The guy hasn't done anything to warrant the top-10 ranking that ESPN is touting...

That's a damn good team - I wouldn't sweat Greene in that lineup...

This is true but a little deceptive. You are obviously talking about the regular season, but I was including postseason when he rushed for 135 and 128 in the first two weeks (with a TD in each). This was also on strong ypc as he finished the playoffs with 5.6 average. So when the lights were bright, he stepped up with some of his best football of the season.
I probably used a bit of hyperbole in saying he ended "on a tear". But he had a great postseason and his last couple of games weren't bad either (even if neither one busted the 100 yard mark).
The key difference between him and Felix is that Barber still is officially the starter and Felix's role at this point is a pure guess. Greene on the other hand is the starter, and while LT could take some carries away, I doubt it will be much. Add in the fact that NY's offensive line is miles better than the Cowboys' and you've got a more favorable situation for Greene. I think Felix is probably the higher upside play, but he's also got a bit of downside to him as well (as those who drafted him last year found out).

I had Pierre, Shiancoe and the Saints D/ST in the Spygate Freakout league.
Already up to 45.6 points, but I'm probably jinxing myself by mentioning it...

Dude, f*ck Shiancoe... AND especially Favre. Maybe he should have gone to training camp so he didn't look like he met his receivers for the first time early that morning.

That's exactly why I drafted Shiancoe - I knew Favre was going to be out of rhythm with Sidney Rice sidelined...
What I'm shocked about is that I only got 9 points out of AP in another league... Should've gone with my gut and picked Ray Rice (PPR), but I figured AP would at least get some dump-offs...

Every single year I hope nerd football will go away and every single year nerd football returns to frustrate me again. I read an article last year and this year about the trend slowing down and the "fad" being one soon to die, yet again, here it lives. I feel that I am being teased much like how Indy lets Houston believe they have the game in hand only to break their hearts again and again.

Dan, you're obviously free to post wherever you want, but based on your posts in this thread, I don't really think you have much ground to bitch at Flaco for what he posts in the Ranger thread.
