first off..amazing series.
but what do i think about chris webber?
he had a good series and even stepped up big a couple of times in key situations during this series. However, i wasn't impressed at all with his performances down the stretch in 5-6 of the games. it's good to know he held to form

he put up some amazing numbers from time to time... but, every time he threatened to be a clutch performer, he'd either:
look like he didn't want the ball in a key situation
or
miss a free throw
or
when he actually looked like he wanted the ball in a key situation, he usually missed the shot.

he has more than enough talent to be an elite player in this league.
however, he must learn to be a little more consistent down the stretch. He has to perform a little more consistently when it counts the most.
He was from one extreme to the other in the clutch.. unfortunately for the kings, he was at the bad extreme too often

the kings and lakers, amazing series.

Well lastnight he definately pissed me off... Actually I didn't have as much of a problem when Bibby was taking shots because Bibby was on fire the majority of the series. Also I don't really have a problem with him missing shots but lastnight I agree, it was like he didn't even want the damn ball and that pissed me off down the streth. The way Sacramento missed so many free throws they didn't deserve to win...

I do know this Bibby has DEFINATELY made himself a commodity these playoffs.

bibby showed he had balls... it'll be interesting to see how this carries over next year.
but he was head over heels the leader of that team this year in the playoffs

the only player on the kings with NO playoff experience was the only one that looked like he had been in the playoffs before.

they were all timid. well, bobby jackson maybe not... but he wasn't in the game. adelman wanted christie to miss everything... christie was on the take.

when you throw in webber's free throw percentage, his series doesn't look nearly as well as it could have... plus, in around 3 games, he kinda disappears during the clutch

what was he in this series? 45% from the line or something? amazing. they missed, what, 14 free throws? ouch. no one to blame for this loss but themselves.

and you can't ask for a better shot than the one peja had (well, maybe a wide-open layup). but he blew it. didn't even draw iron.

shaq shot free throws pretty well..the kings would have been happy to have a FT% as a team as nice as shaq's ft% for the series

Murphy- if what you say is true- "Webber must be a little more consistent down the stretch-he has to perform a little more consistently when it counts most"- to be an elite player in this league- than you are also dissing your boy Dirk. Because he was far from consistent- so IF Webber is not an elite player- NEITHER is Dirk- according to your comments. AND-WEBBER did not lose the series for the KINGS. Sure- he should of showed up bigger at the end- but he did NOT lose the game. When Shaq has a 30 point game but is 4-15 from the line- did Shaq lose the game for the Lakers? No- its usually a given Shaq dont shoot his Free Throws well. Neither does Webber- although this series was worse than normal..The Kings big shots didnt fall- Peja and Christies 3s were total jokes. Horrys 3 was money- again. BIBBy had ICE in his veins- Shaq and KOBE were awsome as usual.. A classic series...

Um... Dirk shows up in the 4th quarter. Always. Webber does not. EVER.

Big difference.

I admit that- and I DONT KNOW WHY- the only other person on the team that was hitting was BIBBY. Peja and Christie both made asses out of themselves though...Jesus H...
