Default Cartoons that you watched when you were "young" ...

I ran across a cartoon that I hadn't seen in probably 27-28 years. Battle of the Planets. I cannot believe I somewhat remember this.

Well, what did you guys watch when you were 5-6 years old?

I also watched Voltron quite a bit.

I (vaguely) remember He-Man, that was the -ish. "I HAVE THE POWER!!!"

Loved reruns of classics from Looney Tunes, Yogi Bear, Popeye.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Inspector Gadget, Ducktails, Captain Planet, The Smurfs, Rocky & Bullwinkle, Jetsons, Flintstones.

The Simpsons had started when I was 5, man I remember when that show was still really good.

What's crazy is I haven't thought about most of these shows in forever but I can still remember most of the theme songs, "heroes in a half shell, turtle power!". Those were simpler times...

Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, Beast Wars (which I'm re-watching right now), Beast Machines, X-Men: The Animated Series, Pokemon, Digimon (for two seasons).

EDIT: Technically, I only watched X-Men and Animaniacs when I was 5 or 6. Pinky and the Brain came later (7-10). Started watching Pokemon and Beast Wars at the age of 10, and then at 11 watched Beast Machines and Digimon.

TMNT, GI Joe, Animaniacs, X-Men, Captain Planet (With your powers combined, I am...CAPTAIN PLANET), Inspector Gadget

That spans a couple different age ranges.

90s animated X-Men and Spider-Man kicked ass. Also loved Beast Wars and The Dinosaurs. Boy they don't make cartoons like they used to.

Beast Wars was so underrated. It was pretty hardcore and dark toward the end. The death of Dinobot was a tear jerker. Way better than Transformers IMO. I thought Beast Machines sucked though.

Beast Wars is so overwhelmingly the best Transformers TV show that it's not even funny. It's a great television show irrespective of whether it's a kids' show.

I think Animaniacs and Pinky & The Brain were my favorite cartoons from my childhood. (I've actually got a few seasons on DVD - they hold up fairly well all things considered).

I also remember watching the ones on weekdays from 3 to 5 like Gummi Bears, Rescue Rangers, Ducktales, and Darkwing Duck

I always like the Looney Tunes re-runs that came on.

When I was really, really young I was definitely into Ninja Turtles.

Lolololol. I used to rent those movies all the time from the public library. I bought them when I was seventeen, though, and having not seen them for ten years, I found myself reciting the lines along with the characters.

I think I have a very skewed (or at the very least "time shifted") memory of cartoons from when I was young. In Brazil they used to play old American cartoons. Woody Woodpecker, Popeye, Thunder cats, He-man, Tom and Jerry, Road Runner and Coyote.... That is what I used to watch in the early 90's. I loved all of it.

Man cartoons used to be so great. Modern cartoons don't have that same watchability. Too bad. Remember this classic intro? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0TA2ajPV8k

A little older than age 5-6, but TMNT, Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, XMen, Batman the Animated Series, and Garfield.

I still remember the episode when Cyclops ruthlessly blasted the crap out of Mr. Sinister... ah the good old days before Hollywood made him a douche.
