I'm pretty confused. So we will keep our keepers from last season? Are you handling that BG? Or we have to do something?

The is a reformation of the league from last year. You'll have the chance to keep 3 of your players. If you chose to only keep 1 or 2 then you will get to actually pick from the available players in the pool in rounds 2 and/or 3, depending on how many you keep.
After round 3, it's a standard draft from what is available in the pool. Pretty much the same rules and scoring from last year.

Well if everyone's keeping their keepers, none of those good players will be available. Thus, I've got to keep my keepers by default.

I have a feeling not everyone is going to use all of their keepers.
And sure, there will be a healthy amount of good players available. The question is...do you think they'll be better than what you're thinking of keeping?

I actually just realized I have a problem with the 22nd. That's tax-free weekend, and with me being in the retail world I have to commit to being available all day for that. It's gonna be a bust, but I still have to do it.
Would having it on the 15th be ok with everyone? If not, we can try for that weekend of the 22nd (either the 21st or 23rd) I'll just need to know a time preference so I can definitely get on board, I'm guessing it'd be evening...
Still keeping the keeper date as the 5th.
Just let me know guys!

I'm down for whatever draft date people want (and ready to pick my keepers whenever...)

OK...so it sounds like the 15th will be ok so far.
Thank you guys for being flexible.
I'm guessing just e-mailing or PMing me your selections works best?
Unless someone else has a better idea.

I just want to double check. As a new entrant into the league, I don't have any keeper decisions to make, right?

Yup, mine are done.
I did my research last night and I'm pretty confident in my thought process. I hope you're busting my chain, but I understand if you're not.
Integrity and fun!
FINtastic - yes you have a decision to make. You inherited that team, so you have to decide if you want to keep up to 3 of those guys. If you keep all three, those are the first three picks in the draft. If you keep two, then you'll have a pick in the 3rd round out of what is available. If you pick 1, then you'll have two picks.
Round 4 will be the first round where everyone is openly picking players. Make sense?

So if we're rolling with the 15th now: What time are you guys wanting to have the draft?
Figuring it out quickly would be best so I can try to snag the draft time, on the 15th pretty much all the times in the evening are free.

I've tentatively set the draft time on the 15th for 7:15 pm CST
Let me know if that sounds good or bad and we'll change if necessary. T-minus 15 days for you keeper decisions to be delivered to me.
Please send them via PM or email. Thanks!

Just another update to pass along:
I went ahead and went with the draft order being based on the Points For based off of last year's results:
Team Sarajevo (u2)
Team 1000 (FINtastic)
Team Chum's Bums (Chum)
Team ShaggyDirk (Shaggy)
Da Shocka (UD)
Team alby II (alby)
Los Flaco's (Flaco)
MBIII FTW (dirkFTW)
Team TBD (myself)
Team LongYard (MavsWiLLHaVeRinGs)
The Thigglers (jthig)
*Nikeball's Nuts (Nikeball)
*defending champion
the first three rounds will not be in the snake format since it'll be the keeper selections. Based on how many you decided to keep, you may actually be drafting in Round 1, 2, or 3. Once Round 4 begins, the snake format will begin.

I have to see if I work Aug. 15th. If I do I'd be at work then (I work nights) If I do if it could be earlier like before 5pm that'd be better for me.
I've decided to keep all 3 of my keepers.
BTW 10th is rough. I was a playoff sleeper.

Should still be good to go with the original time on the 15th if everyone is still down.

I was thinking something like this:
Just pick the player ranked at the # that shows up.

How about Stephen McGee or Javarris Williams? Those guys have first round stud written all over them.
