Default 2022-2023 NBA Season Thread

Always nice to see Harden and company go down in flames... Celtics look tough with Tatum/Brown hitting on all cylinders

Will be interesting to see how the warriors do after the Green/Poole incident... Lakers and Lebron in particular look old and washed up.

Celtics are fake tough and play big in the regular season but fall apart in the playoffs

Smart with the huge flop. Harden with the shimmy and almost air balls the shot. Fucking clowns.

Doc Rivers will never coach a championship team.

Super ill-fitting roster once again. I'm sure the Lakers had opportunity to get out of the Russ deal but wanted to save face in the public eye by not taking a package they would deem inferior. They may miss the playoffs again if either Lebron or AD miss time and they just might miss it all outright.

Condensed from Kirk Goldsberry on Twitter (@kirkgoldsberry):

AD is the least efficient jump shooter in the NBA over the last 2 or so seasons. eFG% of 36% when no other player with at least 500 shots in that same time frame registers lower than 40%.

I saw some glimpses of the old AD last night, but he settles a lot from outside these days. Father Time will not be kind to the Lakers this season. I was cracking up when they were trying to up play the youth on the bench and someone had to stop them and say compare it to the Warriors young bench and try to say the same thing. It's laughable the roster they've assembled and "King" James can soak it all up this year.

After 1 quarter, Brunson has 2 points 1-3 from the field 0 assists.

Not that I'm saying that means anything.

I mean, they did make the finals. Should we really brag about making the Conference Finals and yet put down a team that made the finals

He?s been orrery clutch down the stretch. Made the assist for the game tying 3, and takes the charge on Ja.

NO most interesting team in the league if Zion stays healthy.

Jazz destroyed the Nuggets with this starting lineup.

It's funny how that Legacy doc about the Lakers on hulu paint Jeanie as some sort of Lakers savior. She might be smarter than her brothers, but she has been making looots of mistakes lately.

Yikes. I?d actually like to see him play well. I think it sucks that he is being blamed for their poor play. While he is certainly contributing to it that roster is shit.

Russ is doing this to himself in a way, to be honest. Everyone has an ego. His is currently not being able to swallow the kind of player he is at this stage of his career and committing to change. There's intrigue with Russ moving forward if he can make a shift similar to J Kidd back in the day. You will never be the triple double threat, but can certainly impact games within limits. Absolutely have to find a way to hit some shots...

Loving the Lakers drama -
Lakers have made 19-of-85 (22.4 percent) of their 3-point attempts.
Anthony Davis has 0 assists in 68 minutes this season.

@stephenasmith did not hold back on the Lakers 👀
"They're awful. The Lakers are just awful at shooting the basketball. ... Construction workers don't have nothing on these brick layers in Southern California."

They have made just 24 of their 101 jump shots this season.
Starting 5 Jump Shots, First 2 Games:
LeBron James ........ 6 of 22
Lonnie Walker .........3 of 14
Anthony Davis ........ 2 of 12
Patrick Beverley ...... 2 of 11
Russell Westbrook ... 2 of 11

Walker Kessler looks pretty good. Jazz with a totally unlikely 2-0 start so far.
