ESPN Sources: Nets-Mavs trade still hasn?t been made official with league office because Nets are evaluating opportunities to expand deal w/ a third team. Teams are expected to make two-way deal official in next couple of hours ? unless Nets find something bigger to fold into it.

We would be getting Kyrie, but I saw Fred Vanvleet's named floated for the Nets..

Was happy to see Woj say the trade would be finalized as a two team trade TODAY if a multi-team deal couldn't be struck. Don't want this lingering on.

I'd keep my eye on Vanderbilt...lots of rumors he is available, and he is a perfect fit. I'd push hard for that.

I?m not familiar with him other that he is a PF. Anyone you would compare his game too? I?m curious to see how the Morris twin works out for us. I think he will be a solid addition.

Morris seems about done. Only averaging 10 min per game and 3.6 ppg, unless he finds a bigger role in Dallas than in Brooklyn.

I know people always have delusions about their own team getting a great player but I saw a Celtic fan on twitter saying he didn't want to trade Jaylen Brown for KD but he wanted to hold out until Kyrie/Luka explode and get Luka for him. I just shook my head and chuckled. Even Tatum wouldn't get it done.

I realize Lebron is all time great, but I don't really care for him that much. Whining when Kawhi didn't go to the Lakers where they'd have a super team, now whining that Kyrie isn't going to the Lakers where they'd have a super team. It's just admitting him and AD can't do it. He has had at least one super star as a teammate every time he won the title, most of the time 2.

I'd be fine with Vanderbilt. He's a better version of DFS overall. I think he would excel with Luka (and Kyrie). Just don't put him on the free throw line. Turrble

I mean he's playing behind probably the best pure PF in the league so there's that.

At 33, he's not amazing, but he plays hard and per 36, he's averaging 12-8-3 on 41% 3pt shooting.

He's got bit Deshawn Stevenson vibes for me. As much as I hate him for being a bruiser, we need some bruisers.

Week or two ago I thought he was going to the Bucks, it fell through I guess.

I already did my celebration of Kyrie yesterday, but there's still more work that needs to be done. And there's only until Thursday to do it. I think we all know more moves need to be made as this will be a historically bad defensive team and extremely poor rebounding team.

Many people were also 100% against getting Kyrie before we did. I'm not one of those but I must admit he's had his issues everywhere he went and only won with Lebron.

How do we even know this is not Rondo 2.0 and he leaves after the season? It could be, I'm optimistic it won't be but who knows.

Edit: sorry I thought your post was a reply to me wanting Crowder but now that I re-read it I don't think it was. My mistake.

Who knows, I think they want to include him with Paul and get something good. They tried to trade Paul + Crowder for Kyrie but failed. But things can change quickly as the deadline approaches. Usually teams don't like to keep players that aren't even interested in flying with them after deadlines.

Kyrie is first in the league in 4th quarter scoring where he shoots 50% from the field and 90% from FT

Luka is 18th and shoots 48% and 69% from FT

I saw the "I cried" crew on Twitter last night. Good grief. Doe is a good fn dude and I'm sure everyone feels for him, but trades are always a thinf...every year. I can't imagine crying about this though. How soft are folks and how do you actually handle real hard times in life. Dude makes incredible money and has job security.

I get hesitation with Kyrie off the court and thr potential headache... on the court however, killer duo now at least. No question.

I like DFS but he's an average player, Spencer is above average but he's not Kyrie, the first round pick is not until 2029. This was a no-brainer trade, even with Kyrie's baggage.

I mean, we were all crying to how painful it was watching Luka carry run into the ground every night. And that was everyone bitching and crying about it.

I can't control what the guy does off of the court. But my basketball self is ecstatic for 27 ppg added.

I think Meh. Averaging what...2 points a game this year? He will likely see more time on this team, but he's not his brother. So, other than big body off the bench while Kleber is still out, I don't see it.
